nwanzekwuchuks:Replace the ball joints and shafts with genuine ones and inspect while having your oil changed or monthly if you drive through terrible roads and can't pickup suspension noises. |

Bola4boy:I'd check the connection to the TPS if I were him. Remote diagnosis would be difficult as you'd need to address each codes individually. Feel free to reach out to me on 07089030689 for tips on what to look out for and or fix. |

Good morning everyone, my friends 07 accord jerks when entering gear 2. This usually happens when the car is cold but when driven for sometime and fully warmed up, there is no jerk when changing gears. The level/impact of jerk is dependent on the acceleration speed. He has scanned the transmission several times but there is no error code. Also, when slowing down, you feel a slight jerk, like changing from gear 2 to gear 1. Transmission has been serviced with original Honda DW1 tranny oil, solenoids have also been washed even though there is no error code. Kindly assist to know what the issue is. |

kelvinmnet:Internal issues. The transmission is wearing out gradually. He can drive it like that for another one year, and it can as well get worse very very fast. Bottom line, he must start saving up to get a new transmission in the near future. No amount of oil change will fix it. |

AutoConsult:I initially thought that if i change the filter on the tranny, it could salvage the situation. |

kelvinmnet:It won't. It most certainly won't. |

kelvinmnet:Try cleaning the solenoid. Start with the one attached to the transmission and then to the ones inside. Job is not for the faint of heart and will be as a last resort

Good morning senior men them. I been hearing some little noise when I drive (2004 EOD) so I went to my mechanic straight, gave him the keys to observe, make he no be like I dey hear nothing. He summary concluded it's the ball joint thingy and told me to change it for peace of mind etc. Now he billing me 50k + and I just wanted to ask if that should be the correct bill. He is my egbon, but has a knack for inflating price for me small. He say I resemble yahoo. |

Starboytwo:Hmmm... That's very outrageous. I recently got a Taiwan ball joint for 25k. Other Chinese brands and tokunbo even costs less. So I don't know how he's billing you 50k for ball joint. Since you know he has a knack for inflating prices for you and also profiled you to ba a Yahoo boy, how are you sure you can trust his services enough to be honest with his dealing and he's not in any way doing half works so you can always come back to his shop for repairs. Think about it Sir, this is enough ground for me to break ties with such a mechanic. |

2008 model is more reliable than 07 and 09. Maintainance pattern should be as usual, service car when due, make use of computer to scan vehicle when there are issues to know what's wrong and be sure you're using a reliable mechanic/parts when it comes to part replacements... ImDFavoured1: |

Hello Guru's in the house. Please I need your help on my 07 Accord. My DRL light (American Spec light as we popularly call it) is not working. The fuse is ok and the bulbs are working fine. I scanned and got the error code B1079. Anyone with idea on how to get this fixed? |

Niyijac:Nigerians don't really care about their cars. We just want it to move from point A to point B. We don't go to the mechanic when a check engine pops up. We only go when the care stops moving. 90% of cars on Nigerian roads have the check engine light on. In fact, if you go to a technician for the only reason that your check light came on, some technicians will think you are stupid. I have a basic scanner in my car and I don't joke with the check engine light. I basically stop by the road just to scan if it comes up. It has saved me a ton of headaches. And it cost me less than 5k to buy. If you love your car, don't joke with the check engine light. How else will the car alert you at the earliest sign of problem? |

fineboynl:Wheel balancing is different from wheel alignment. Which one did you do? |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Macmilla(m): 7:23am On Aug 24, 2024 |
fineboynl:What do you mean by "ball joint rod"? Bros, fix every abnormality your find, even the tiniest one. It could be your problem. You don't need to get our approval before you fix something wrong on your car. Anything can cause vibration in a car, even the thing you least expect. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Macmilla(m): 7:27am On Aug 24, 2024 |
jceesquare:Please do not add pressure to the back of any ball joint. If your ball joint has excessive free play, REPLACE IT. Pressing the head of the ball joint to make it right is a recipe for disaster. Even if it looks like it worked, you will face a bigger problem in less than a month. |

fineboynl:And you still left it in place? Tomorrow if your tire pulls out, you will start shouting that Honda tire likes to pull out. You will not remember that you like to be silly. |

| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Macmilla(m): 7:36am On Aug 24, 2024 |
fineboynl:Check your car manual. I think idle should be between 750 and 850. I think 600 is low, but I might be wrong. But I doubt if it's the cause of your problem. |
