The only thing Nigerians are enjoying is Subsidy. Tinubu should return it if he wants peace
You are enjoying peanuts from subsidy.
You should worry about how petrol will sell at #200/litre without subsidy
Local refinery is the only legit way

This is even too much, way to much. Just to sit and argue and they collect this amount. Wow.
Re: Monthly Salaries And Allowances Of Nigerian Senators by Tonymegabush1(m): 10:04pm On Aug 13, 2024
National assembly shouldn't be a career stop paying senators and reps salary for complete 4yrs, it's not a career.

Each senator and rep member should be paid on each plenary after each session they had they should be paid. Paying them each month has made them not willing to leave that post.

Lies, this Tinubu government is so deceitful and too corrupt. Everything about them is lies.

This looks false. If this is their true allowance how come they can afford lavish lifestyles? An average Senator has a duplex and several luxury cars even when he was poor before becoming a Senate member.
How many poor men have become Senators?

Is Orji Kalu's lifestyle dependent on Senator Salary or that of the late Ifeanyi Ubah, or Gbenga Daniel?

Many of you believe the miseducation and reject the actual education because of your anarchy mindset.

These people are collecting some people's gratuity monthly, yet, they still won't let you enjoy the basics.
Re: Monthly Salaries And Allowances Of Nigerian Senators by Throwback: 10:08pm On Aug 13, 2024
I have always asserted that there is nothing outrageous about the salary of a Nigerian legislator. While allowances are for the purpose they were allowed.
Re: Monthly Salaries And Allowances Of Nigerian Senators by Jayhome24: 10:09pm On Aug 13, 2024
Pls stop posting this nonsense here can't you just listen? If their salary offended you then go and become a senator or are not a Nigerian?

Pls stop all these nonsense and stop distracting us here.

Actually poor men don't become senators. It's mostly for the rich. And for the rich to crave such a venture, you know it's not one million naira plus stuff. The rich don't go for lower checks, they only go higher. While some like Kalu may go for the influence and popularity that it gives, some others to for the money. Now you have to wonder why Kalu who became a billionaire in his 20s ran for Senate and what he intends to do with that peanut. There's something there.

Where you travel go when dem announce for news sey bogus means fake and not large or big?
SparkPro1:
With all these bogus salaries. They want those earning 33k monthly to endure, but can't reduce their own monthly salary

See how tinubi quickly approved 300% salary raise for judiciary but took almost forever to approve 70k as minimum wage.

You and I agree that for already rich men to go there, there is something there.

That something is influence, more popularity, and more power.

Many Governors go there to wait until another opportunity at executive power beckons, either as a principal officer in the National assembly, or as a minister, or head of a government agency or diplomatic embassy, or the Presidency of the country.

That place is only a place to wait until another executive role is avaliable.

That is why many would gladly leave the National Assembly to take up a ministerial portfolio that is an executive position.

Majority of them do not need any money from the Senate.

I have once argued that a sincere and poor Nigerian who finds himself at the Senate or HOR, will find that the salary and allowances to be earned, is not enough to cater for the needs it has been allocated for, vis a vis the expectation from Nigerians that their Senator must always have money to give his extended family and his constituency members.

Dey play. I think this RMFC should shut up. The NASS themselves have not come out to debunk the claim of collecting the humongous allowances with evidence. Thieves and thieves collaborators !

Aptly put.

Watch how their foot soldiers would come and defend it, calling it fake news because of the crumbs they pick from under their masters' tables.

Nigerian government is operated like a Secret Cult .. everybody just works in tandem to protect the secrecy..

For our eyes koorokoro people received SUVs worth 160m each as at last year, it's more than that now and here they are, telling us it's 8m vehicle loan allowance.. it's alright o

The Chairman said, indicting himself "..RMAFC does not have constitutional powers to enforce compliance with proper implementation of the Remuneration package." 🤔

What he listed above are what they are supposed to receive normally, but even a child knows that is not what they receive. They bully anybody in government that dares challenge their self-decided take home pay. Very legal legislooterz.

It is just so easy to see where the problems of the country stem from. We live, sleep and wake up with the problems on a daily basis..

All I know is this madness won't go on for too long..
Re: Monthly Salaries And Allowances Of Nigerian Senators by pfadom: 5:01am On Aug 14, 2024
If the misleading claim of total monthly emolument of N1,063,860:00, how were they given an official car of N160 million (amounting to over N3.3 million per month). Is it reasonable to have such earmarked for vehicle besides maintenance and feeling?

RMAFC is lying?

That's simply what they are supposed to receive as monthly salaries but is it what they actually receive?
We should stop deceiving ourselves please.
