Yesterday I a post where one lady was saying her father has really tried for her , he means so much to her and as such she won’t change her last name to any other man’s name (her husbands name ).

When I checked the comment section , I saw so many ladies thinking the same way. Like some even go as far as agreeing that they will continue to beat their own father’s name but their own children will bear their husband’s surname . I just shook my head thinking “surely the world is coming to an end “

Funny enough I have no real issues with it. Though I'd never legally marry such a woman but the kids answering my name is far more important, it's just ironic they say this and then get upset when a man says his wife is not his immediate family.

If they don't want to get married it is all fine and good. Being a baby mama or single mother is not a crime and to an extent no longer a big deal in the society.

So it is better to just have a child outside wedlock, call him by whatever name & surname and u will be fine. But entering into marriage and then start giving conditions like refusing to bear ur husband's name is just crazy
