The decision was made during a stakeholders' meeting on Thursday, aimed at implementing the Enugu State Anti-Noise Pollution Policy.

The initiative is good but I will suggest they look beyond worship places. Like CD/cassette sellers, barber's shops, motor parks, those selling traditional medicine that cures all ailments, viewing centres, oppressive neighbours(those that loud their music to oppress their neighbours), hotels and bars etc.

First a human can be religious in one hand and also be scientific on the other hand.
Its a fact that when religious people are successful scientifically, they dont use their religious beliefs nor dogmas. It was their logic and scientific side that gives them that ability.

I wanted to give a full response but didn't want to risk wasting my time on what I assume you really believe.

Could you just indicate any of the following statements you agree with.

1. A religious mind can not be scientific
2. A scientific mind can not be religious
2. Religious beliefs impede scientific inquiry in an individual
3. A religious mind can be as scientific as the individual's intellect and motivation

It seems you have a pedestrian view of science in general.
Science isn't about invention, that's technology. It is about understanding how and sometimes why things work the way they do in nature and the effects of manipulating certain variables.

Take fire technology for example, we were able to make fire(technology) millions of years before
we have an idea why fire burns(the science). BTW, this invention was courtesy of primitive homo erectus who are as superstitious as a human can be.

So if we are going to proceed on this discussion, we have to use specific language and not general ones.

Yes you are correct. Let the 3rd world populace go deaf and develop BP and other sleep deprivation related illnesses due to lack of sleep as long as I can pay the taxation.

If you are going to build an auditorium, you should be considerate enough about your neighbours to consult a sound engineer to make sure you get optimal sound inside and minimum sound outside. But these churches and mosques are very deliberate in making sure their speakers reach every ear.

I hope building demolition is a consequence for violating this state order. Enough is enough.

I wish the Delta state gun-vernment can replicate the same thing here,cuz how only me go dey share boundaries with 3 different churches? . The annoying part is that they all have their own days for their mid-week service from Tuesday to Friday,then lastly on Sunday.........As in,I Don tire.

But the good thing is that,since I packed into this apartment,I never get any encounter with any witches and wizards . Perhaps cuz of the churches all around me
