All I can see here is that,

Alimosho which is a very big LGA (landmass and population) got higher fed allocation than Abia State but Alimosho is so unproductive in terms of IGR

Alimosho is productive for a Local Government....Abia is a state, there are things they can do to generate money as a state that a local government cannot do.....
Re: Abia State Compare To Alimosho Local Government by kettykin: 5:58am On Aug 17, 2024
This is the problem with the Nigerian federal structure and why the better days of Nigeria are gone , the structure is so funny the some glorified local government get allocation that are way beyond their capacity.

But aba is light years ahead of Alimosho in terms of industrial and commercial capital

Racism: when you are dealing with people of different races. Example, Caucasians attack or degrade black people.

Tribalism: when you are dealing with hate among people of the same race. Example, Igbo Vs Yoruba e-war as shown here all the time.

Know and mind the difference....

Way below their capacity

Alimosho IGR can surpass that of Abia state if given the power to generate revenue like that of the state

Why should a state with enough revenue to run it affairs tax people more when it doesn't need to?.

I am a believer in tax sure but with South East is doing makes economic sense.. Allows the citizens to grow wealth instead of taxing them to show we got big IGR

OP you're wrong, the money from FAAC for Abia state is received monthly, for Alimosho LGA, 11b was the total FAAC received in a year, please stop misinforming unsuspecting individuals.

Stop derailing the thread for yourself-deceptive consolation. If you want to talk about fleet, go to many thread opened for that purpose. Crossing to another lane in a field track race is total disqualification. This is the effect of ekpa's economic sabotage in south east when a south east oil producing state can not march a local government in Lagos state in terms of productivity

Lies. No local government gets more faac than any state

how may revenue streams does the LGA control vs a state. Smh

The current FAAC revenue-sharing formula allocates 52.68 percent to the federal government, 26.72 percent to states, and 20.60 percent to local governments.

36 states share 26.72%
744 LGA share 20.60%

Some of una no get sense for this nairaland
