He presented what Jesus said plainly though he may not understand the idiomatic expression and erroneously took it literally!

Look, the same Jesus Christ said He was sent only to the Lost sheep of Israel in Matthew 15 vs 20 - 28. So, if you are not one of the blood of Jacob, you waste your time with that book.

There was nothing idiomatic about what Jesus Christ said to the Israelites — those who were(and are even today) of the bloodline of Jacob —there in Matthew 10, or any parts of the Gospel for that matter. His coming was to herald the end of the period of the Old Covenant — the Last days of God's Judgment against Israel(God's Sword against His people)—, and the beginning of the time of the harvest, the end time— the time of the Kingdom of God in which the Lost of Sheep of Israel are gathered by Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ spoke extensively of the destruction to befall those in the land at the time to mark the Last Days, particularly in Matthew 24, Luke 18 & 21, and Mark 13.

You said it is not a translation but you are wrong. It is a translation and some Bible scholars think it's one of the best English translations even though it does have some flaws. The thing is the different Bible translations used different styles to achieve their translations, some go more toward preserving the word for word presentation while the others go for more of the meaning. I think the Amplified Bible translation is a very good compromise of these 2 methods.

You should calm down and look into the matter with sincerity and honesty, according to the Bible the same God have fought with His people destroying millions of their enemies with just few men.

So if Jesus actually meant his disciples should make use of PHYSICAL SWORDS then he as the head of the group supposed to take the lead in doing so but he never fought with anyone and even when one of his disciples thought it's time to do so Jesus rebuked him! Matthew 26:52
