Just saw the Dar es salaam to Dodoma fast train on you tube. Beautiful it is a wonder. This kind of project would definitely kill the aviation industry may be that is why we do not have it at the moment. But I think it would be a beautiful investment for Nigeria. What are your takes guy. 🤔 |

When they finish building the coastal highway of fraud they'll start that one |

You are asking as if you were born yesterday. Years ago when I travelled from Lagos to Abuja by road, some parts of the road weren't motorable. Before you talk about building expensive infrastructure like railways, Nigeria should be able to fix basic infrastructure like federal roads. |

KnowAll:Who's gonna pay for it. We still can't fix roads that are even cheaper. |
| Re: Why Don’t We Have A Fast Train From Lagos To Abuja??? by KnowAll(op): 3:57pm On Aug 17, 2024 |
SmartPolician:They can’t fix the road. The roads would be done in peace meal. |

KnowAll:Yes I agree but what I'm saying is they'll start these ones when they complete the coastal highway to fraud and finish frustrating Dangote |

The convenience would be a game-changer, plus the views could be amazing. I bet the aviation lobby might be a hurdle, though. |
| Re: Why Don’t We Have A Fast Train From Lagos To Abuja??? by KnowAll(op): 4:03pm On Aug 17, 2024 |
givedemwotowoto:Dangote is not a saint. Emefiele should be giving his freedom as long as he spills the beans of what transpired between the CBN , FG & NNPC with regards to funding of that refinery. Without that I would have no sympathy for Dangote. |
| Re: Why Don’t We Have A Fast Train From Lagos To Abuja??? by givedemwotowoto: 4:05pm On Aug 17, 2024 |
KnowAll:People don't really care about Dangote, but they care about petrol being refined locally so there will be no excuse for it to sell at a high price So any excuse that has government still exporting crude when there are local refineries is believed to be a fraudulent excuse |

KnowAll:YOU ARE ADMIRING TANZANIA BUT YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY. For your information, the Lagos-Kano standard gauge high speed railway line is UNDER CONSTRUCTION AS WE SPEAK. Many train stations have even been built along the route! Beautiful air conditioned stations most of you know nothing about because you are too busy hating on your country to follow its developments. The line passes through Ibadan, which is completed and functional, and goes all the way up to Abuja and then to Kaduna and Kano. The Abuja-Kaduna section is also completed and functional. So what is left now is the Ibadan - Abuja section and the Kaduna - Kano section, which are both under construction. So there’s no “Lagos-Abuja fast train”. There is the ongoing multibillion dollar 1,400 km Lagos-Kano high speed line which is under construction. Probably about 75% completed. Abuja is just one of the many stops on the line. In about a year or two the entire line will be completed. And you can travel in high speed rail air conditioned comfort from Lagos all the way to Abuja and Kano. Keep ignoring the projects and programs across the country. One day you will wake up and suddenly realise you’re living in an advanced country. |

We have not been able to maintain road, we are talking about train 😞 |

Let them fix the road from lagos to Abuja first. Then secure the highway from kaduna and Niger state from kidnappers before talking about train. The money for trains should be channelled to building more power plants |

You want the wailing wailers to die of heart attack?. See all the noise over Lagos to Calabar super coastal highway by mostly folks from South East, but the same people didn't see anything wrong in FG wasting billions of naira on the second Niger bridge. We can have a fast train from Lagos to Abuja to say Kano or Katsina provided the Government is willing and ready to take full responsibility. So many houses and businesses will have to give way for the train routes to come up. |

The goodnews is, the company will flag off the project before February. |

Horus:This one FG debunked the approval, I don't know when it will start. The company has to show proof of funding before it is finally approved. |

Are you kidding? Fast train from Lagos to Abuja? The current trains we have, are you not reading how the tracks constantly get vandalized? So you want a train travelling at 180km to 220km to ply Lagos to Abuja? |
