If this fact is correct, then NNPC officials should be in jail... 3.3trn in 11months and we still queue for fuel for almost 10 months out of the 11. Corrupt leaders everywhere |

Racoon:We have moved from Buhari's 2015 -subsidy is a fraud, to the 2016 announcement of subsidy removed and finally 2023 -subsidy is GONE. How can liars not be thieves? How can liars fight corruption? Who is fooling who? Or rather, who is fooled ![]() Former governor of Lagos, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his immense support for President Buhari’s decision to remove the fuel subsidy. |

sulaak:this is a silly argument and I'll tell you why look at the population pyramid of India chiba and Indonesia it's middle heavy look at Nigeria own it's top heavy what does that tell us that while India China and Indonesia have a higher population figure (absolute) , they are having a stagnated and even declining growth rate (China esp) Nigeria on the other hand is having an uncontrolled birth rate and growth rate Same with Pakistan at this rate, Nigeria and Pakistan will be in serious trouble two decades from now make una continue |

ednut1:What dop poor people have to entertain themselves apart from sex? Get people busy in factories, farms and ranches, to see the population growth rate drop as it is dropping in China, India and other Asian countries that are industrialising and prosperous. Sharing congo of rice to people instead of getting them to work their bums off to earn decent wages in dignity, is the sure way for population explosion. |

Let us tell ourselves the truth, how do you personally feel the economy were doing with and without the fuel subsidy? Do we need a soothsayer to help us with the answer? Is petroleum not a gift to southern and some western Nigeria? Do we not have refineries? If Nigerian refineries are not functioning, so, we are now poor a country that we cannot fix or outrightly build a brand new refinery? Finally, the money that were made for subsidy payments what are they used for? Totally, don't you think this subsidy is a scam? |

They should shut up about this institutionalized fraud called subsidy; we all know the price of fuel in other countries; we are one of the largest producers of crude for crying out loud. Someone in the shahara desert died of thirst; someone living by the river Niger also is dying of thirst because of pure human greed and outright wickedness. Shame!!!! |

The people will see the figures And then they will shout and cry But if there was no subsidy, think of where the money would have gone to... Most Nigerians were at Ojota...the ronu, obident and atiku and sharia, and all of them...were at Ojota. Those of us who have woken up, see things clearly. Lol. |

Money saved from subsidy should have been used to stabilize the Naira. The more then naira gain strength the cheap the fuel for Nigerians. But since tinubu remove subsidy the naira keep plummeting causing more and more hardship for Nigerians. There is corruption in the subsidy. They need to rmploy foreign investigators and local investigator. |

But I think the current Apc in government once told his followers if na data we go chop It seems nothing is working in this subsidy of a thing And if Nigeria are actually thinking this thing should have been a thing of the past but one person said nothing like that and billions of dollars are spent on it How is it a scam and he is telling us about it again ![]() Nigeria ronu ooooo |
