So which tribe led this protest, since you want us the talk about it? Weren't Yoruba notable lawyers like Falana, Adegoruwa etal among the champions of the latest protests. I guess you haven't read Aare Afe Babalola's comments on supporting the same protests.
Make Una dey reason before commenting sometimes.
That's leading the protest in your own understanding, chai! Lol

What is it with CAN of Niger State? How can IBB be a shining example of service to the nation? A man who undermined our democracy by annulling the most credible election ever conducted in this country.

The Niger State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has congratulated former Military President General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida as he turns 83, describing him as an elder statesman, leader, patriot, and a shining example of service to the nation.

Babangida is not only an elder statesman but a leader, patriot, and a shining example of service to the nation? If Sani Abacha was to be alive, I doubt if the same thing will not be said of him.

We all agree military government foisted on us by coupists and earlier republics of thieving and incompetent politicians plunged us into this down trail of suffering and disaster. Yet the coupists and politicians who wrestled or misused leadership positions are all elder statesmen, patriots and shining examples of leadership? Hmm... Interesting.

I thought you will just mention the non-Yorubas who led the protests to prove that you understand more than me.

Fucking Hypocrites...

This man undermined our democracy, killed hundreds of not thousands of Nigerians, destroyed our economy amongst other demonic things, and the Christian Association of Nigeria is congratulating him for being a "Beacon of Hope".... What a fucking joke.

This is why this country will never get better. Most of you Nigerians are just plain hypocrites and self serving.
Tomorrow the same CAN will be pontificating on how not to vote thieves and wicked politicians into office. Hypocritic CAN of worms

* This is the man who ordered annulment of the elections that was deemed the most free and fair ever in this country till date.
* The military dictator who spent 8 years (two presidential terms) without setting up constituted civilian rule. Until there was chaos and he was forced to "step aside".
* The man whose IMF inspired SAP policies plunged the country's economy into all time low at that time. Naira plunged from ₦1.70 to ₦22 against US Dollars.
* The man who made corruption an institutional thing, and caused it to be Nigerians' default settings.
* During his tenure 103 (or so) soldiers were overloaded into an aircraft that only had capacity for less than 50. It crashed on takeoff around 7pm, nosedived into a swamp. No search and rescue efforts started until 11am the next morning. And as reported by dailies, most of them died due to suffocation, being trapped for several hours in sealed aircraft. Not the impact of the crash.
* During his time, Dele Giwa was killed by letter bomb, and an eyewitness said the letter had presidential seal.

What service did he do to our country??
You never hear anything, wait till he kpeme, he will be the next best thing after honey, we just love to dey deceive ourselves over peanut, I even learnt he was the one that enrolled the nation as part of Islamic countries

Ibrahim Babangida is the best President Nigeria ever had and the reason is SAP. He had several failures on the political front though and that's putting it mildly, but SAP makes up for everything.

Good Luck to Nigeria.
