Their citizens enjoy high level of subsidy on tuition that make them pay over 50% less than international students and they also have access to various forms of student grants and scholarships that can make you study for free if you are brilliant and serious with your academics which we don't have here.


Have Nigerian government stopped tech graduates from migrating abroad in droves? Even if the FG paid nothing tos subsidize medical education,
it will still be a paltry sum compared to the $100K you mentioned above.
After all, we have private schools with medical courses and we know their yearly tuition.

Moreover, any such pro-training slavery deal will be trashed by the court, it only takes one nurse to challenge it.
First, the FG would have to justify why an accounting, agriculture or law graduate is not blocked

Instead of addressing the problem with our Healthcare system the government has decided to trap healthcare professionals, They won't patronize the same system when they are sick and pay doctors peanuts for their services. You are here blabbing about near to free Medical training. No medical training institution is free we pay to get trained, renewal of certificates, writing exams and even to advance in our career. You can cry that the economic situation is the reason why government has not been able to pay healthcare workers their due wages but as of recently the salary of judiciary worker was increased by 300%.... Nigerian government is already subsidizing education, petrol, electricity, healthcare, etc. How many self-employed people and businesses pay taxes in this country? For those who pay taxes, what percentage do they pay? People in some of those countries you say get subsidies from government pay up to 30 - 50% of their hard-earned money in taxes! Will you or anyone agree to pay that in Nigeria?

In short, this entire country runs on fraud, hypocrisy and self-deceit. Everyone wants to keep taking, taking and taking and nobody wants to give back. Surprisingly, those opportunists still wonder why the country isn't working.

I still maintain my position though. God won't come from heaven and fix this country. We have to devote our time, resources and efforts to make it work. If you say a politician steals public funds, how are you any better than the politician if you cannot give a fraction of your earnings to make your country work?!

There are hundreds of unemployed and underemployed Nigerian nurses in Nigeria have Nigeria been able to employ them all? Do you senseless Nigerians even appreciate and value these Nurses?
