The U.S. Marine Corps received the final batch of its 23 new VH-92A Patriot presidential transport helicopters last week, an air frame most famously known as Marine One when carrying America’s commander-in-chief.

Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, delivered the final VH-92A Patriot helicopter in a ceremony at the company’s Owego, N.Y., facility on Aug. 14, Lockheed and Naval Air Systems Command, or NAVAIR, said Monday.

But countries smaller than us in Africa have better aircraft for their presidents. Don't you think it's part of national branding? It's not just for Tinubu but a way of branding ourselves. Dress as you want to be addressed. Don't we do so in corporate world? Even if you take garri 3 times a day you are supposed to dress corporately with tie when going for interviews/salary negotiations. It's part of national packaging/branding. That's my view. I might be wrong though.

you're definately wrong no body will invest in nigeria because of the luxury aircraft uses, foreign investors can come here to invest if there is security in the country ,they will invest if there is electricity in the country they will invest if there is political stability

branding for countries can not be attained through flying luxurious aircraft or expensive vehicles by president, branding can be attained through specialisation in manufacturing, for instance when they talk about machinery ones they mention is a german product one can conclude its reliable but nobody cares about the aircraft the german chancellor is using

What's expensive about buying a presidential aircraft for $100m when America just bought a new presidential aircraft for $3.3B ? It's even Akube just like some use Akube clothes here. Even some ordinary office workers in Nigeria refuse to use Akube clothes so there is no big deal if our president buys second hand aircraft. That he did not ask for new aircraft is a form of prudence. How many high profile Nigerians use Tokunbo cars, including Obi ?
