Real Valladolid defeated Espanyol by a lone goal. Arsenal loanee, Karl Hein manned the post for Valladolid while Arsenal target, Joan Garcia was between the stick for Espanyol. I see Karl Hein being too good for the 3rd spot but a little inexperience to be the second choice. I wish him well over there. |

I hope Arteta is readying Calafiori or Timber for Aston Villa match I no wan see Zinny against Bailey or any of their wingers o |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 4:35pm On Aug 21, 2024 |
BlueRayDick:At a point he was losing focus even in the first half and when he was being targeted by Wolves, Arteta have to quickly substitute him. I can imagine how it will be against Emery and their fast wingers |

Jodera:I think Timber will start judging by his cameo vs Wolves. I'm particularly worried about that Onana. He is their headmaster. Saliba and Gabriel must be at alert. Aston Villa shouldn't be underrated. |

Maresca: “I am not working with 42 players. I am working with 21 players”. “The other 15-20 players are training apart. I don't see them. It's not a mess like it looks from outside. Absolutely not”. “They can even have 20 years contract, it’s not my point. I don’t care”. When no be cow you dey coach |

mostob:Yeah, probably. At least let one of them start then I'll assured defensively. Emery go too exploit that side if him see Zinny for there Read Sociedad president is in London to finalize the deal |

Jodera:What if I tell u that White and Zinchencko were both rated the same point (6) by most rating websites for their respective performances in the game vs Wolves? Even Timber who came on gave the ball away which nearly resulted in a goal against us. I am not stanning Zinchenko o, but he was not the poorest player on the pitch that day for us sha. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 5:22pm On Aug 21, 2024 |
BlueRayDick:No, oo. I'm not even saying he's the poorest player on the pitch on Saturday(even Saliba gave away some cheap balls). Far from it. I'm just saying Zinny is someone who might be our weak link(due to "you know why" ) and he might be easily targeted by Emery and Aston Villa. The White, Saliba and even Timber instances might be a one-offs but can we say same for Zinny when it comes to defensive actions and not switching off? That was just my point of concern. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 5:26pm On Aug 21, 2024 |
Jodera:Fair enough. But we should be mindful enough that the manager will most likely have his plan which may involve the LB inverting into midfield when we are on the defensive side. I won't be surprised if Zinchenko is started ahead of others just for that single reason. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 6:01pm On Aug 21, 2024 |
BlueRayDick:Yeah, that's one of the factors I put into consideration too I believe both of them can invert esp since it's one of the reasons they were even bought. I'll be more surprised if Zinny starts on Saturday sha |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 6:28pm On Aug 21, 2024 |
Jodera:I actually want Timber to start. 1. He is right footed so it will be easier to mark Bailey (assuming he starts). 2. He will give us a good option in attack too. Yea, the president is in London. Be like the transfer dey pain am with the way he was lamenting yesterday. I heard we will be paying in installment. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 6:30pm On Aug 21, 2024 |
Jodera:Like Musa Yunus and Ismael Bennacer, I hope he finds his way. He is in the last year of his contract so the price will always be low. The sell-on clause make sense sha. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 6:31pm On Aug 21, 2024 |
BlueRayDick:Well, we better go with Timber. He is defensively better and can invert too. He should just stop the showboating. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 7:10pm On Aug 21, 2024 |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Roland17(m): 7:37pm On Aug 21, 2024 |
Jodera:Patino's situation is a tricky one and I can understand why Arteta doesn't see a future with him. As most are aware, Patino has obvious deficits in the physical aspect of the game and the hope was for him to gain some physical experience that can help in his growth but that did not happen in the Championship. Patino's style of play involves holding on to the ball to dictate tempo and direction, especially when transitioning as a DLM but the lack of physical strength means he easily loses physical battles deep inside his half and that puts his team in bad situations. He has tremendous ball technique and IQ but Arteta doesn't have the time to work on that aspect of his game, especially when you have midfield players like Skelly, Nathan who don't have such deficits and are ready for 1st team involvement. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 7:44pm On Aug 21, 2024 |
BlueRayDick:Timber rarely plays (FB) without inverting unless Arteta is against it. Against City and Forest last season, he inverted into the midfield. |
