Youareforgiven:This is absolutely wrong doctrine. Very contrary to scripture. Please this isn't the Wisdom of God but head knowledge. To be saved, this is all one has to do according to the Scriptures: "But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." 1. This is how the disciples got saved. 2. This is how the Ethiopian Eunuch got saved. 3. This is how the Samaritans in Acts 8 got saved 4. This is how jarius and his household got saved: 'And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.' Jarius and his household were only Baptized in water. They never were baptized in the Holy Ghost. They were saved. Salvation is a simple experience that comes by FAITH. Thousands are under false hope that they have the Spirit of God why, they have Him not. False doctrines like the one you are trying every means to uphold is the reason. Thousands gathering in this beautiful cathedral don't even know if there is anything called Holy Spirit like the disciples apostle Paul met in Acts 19:2 but you people covers it up with double coming, thereby making them feel save in the face of real danger. This is absolutely heretic. Anyone who has confessed Jesus as Lord is saved. By your assertion, you're actually saying the Ethiopian Eunuch was not saved: Acts 836-39 "The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?” 35 Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?” And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing." Philip was an Evangelist. By his calling, he could only preach. He couldn't get anyone baptized in the Holy Ghost. Peter and John were the ones who got people baptized in the Spirit. What is the function of an Evangelist if people don't get saved at his preaching? All those who came to Christ through his ministry are lost except Peter and John Lay hands on them? No! In Acts 19, several people who practiced occultism got saved without being baptized in the Holy Ghost. The salvation experience is the new birth experience. The Baptism experience is the Gift of power. Show me someone who got saved in scripture only after being baptized in the Holy Ghost. I mean someone who was declared saved ONLY after he was baptized in the Holy Ghost. Or any scripture that says you must be baptized in the Holy Ghost to be saved. Of course, there's none. Even in Acts 10, Peter wanted to preach only Salvation to the house of Cornelius. He didn't count them worthy of Holy Ghost baptism. Only salvation. God had to bypass Peter and baptize those people with the Holy Ghost. When Peter saw that, he said "Can anyone forbid these people water? They have been Baptized (Not Saved) just as we were." The Baptism of the Holy Ghost is never confused for salvation. Read below: Acts 10:44-48 "While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT HAD BEEN POURED UPON THE GENTILES (they weren't astonished that the gentiles were saved because that is not what the baptism represents) For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. THEY HAVE RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT JUST AS WE HAVE (Peter didn't say they have been saved because the baptism of the Holy Spirit does not represent salvation. Their salvation already happened when they believed Peter's gospel in their hearts).” if the baptism of the Holy Ghost is the same as salvation, we would see it clearly in scriptures. Infact Peter would say "They have been saved just as we were". This would have been the most appropriate statement if the Baptism of the Holy Ghost equals salvation. What about the 3,000 Peter preached to in Acts 2:41: "So then, those who accepted his message were baptized (in water); and on that day about 3,000 souls were added [to the body of believers." The body of Believers is the body of saved souls. I'll like you to read Acts 15 and see what the Church stated in that chapter regarding the salvation of the gentiles. The baptism of the Holy Ghost was not a prerequisite at all. It was not even considered. If the baptism of the Holy Ghost = salvation, then God would give every preacher the power to baptize everyone they preach to. But God didn't do that because salvation is simply by faith. Confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth, believe He rose from the dead for your justification, then, the peace of God would flood your heart. Your heart will rejoice. You're saved by the grace of God through Faith in Christ Jesus. This is the PURE and authentic doctrine of the Bible. Haven't you read in Acts 4 that the Disciples even had another time they were filled with the Holy Ghost after the Acts 2 experience? Acts 4:31 "After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. AND THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT and spoke the word of God boldly." |

Acts 10:8-10 "But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[d] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. " Any doctrine apart from the bolded is not of God. Salvation is as simple as that. This is what the Lord Jesus Himself preached. Salvation is simply by faith. The thief on the cross got saved this way. He didn't speak in tongues, yet Christ promised him paradise. Are you aware that the Roman Catholics peddled many false doctrines that later saw the baptism of the Holy Ghost become a rare phenomenon among Christians. This Baptism of the Holy Ghost is a revived truth God re-introduced into the Church in the early 1900s. Before then, believers never spoke in tongues. They were never never baptized in the Holy Ghost. Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Wesley, William Booth, A W. Tozer, Watchman Nee, J B. Stoney, Charles Spurgeon and all the great men whose lives are still a blessing to us today were never baptized in the Holy Ghost. They were born again. They were saved. They won many souls to Christ. But they never experienced Holy Ghost baptism. This knowledge was shut off from them in their days. The knowledge of the Holy Ghost baptism resurfaced only in the early 1900s. Till today, many born again Christians still do not believe that the doctrine of the Holt Spirit baptism is scriptural. Now, tell me, the men that I just listed above for you, you may or may not know all of them but I'm sure you might know many of them; were they saved? Or are you telling me that they were not saved because they were not baptized in the Holy Ghost? Pastor Kumuyi of Deeper Life became born again in 1964 but received Holy Spirit baptism in 1970. |

FxMasterz:I was put in temporal cage by the gods of Nairaland, 😉 but thank God that I have been saved from the cage that truly matters in Christ Jesus. Glory to Jesus Christ who made it possible now and forever. Amen! Back to the truth. There is no salvation without the Holy Spirit in you. You are not a son, if you have not the Spirit of God.✝ Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." KJV Bible You all have made people that have not the precious Spirit of God to believe they have. Through this scripture which is being taking out of context. ✝ Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." KJV Bible You all latched unto this scripture allowing the devil to deceive many through you in thinking, if you say few words then boom, you are saved. You used this passage of the scripture to compel many to believe that they are saved after saying some words. Oh man and pride! Man will always think of ways to be involve in his salvation. You all abuse this scripture, using it to lure many into false hope. People that hadn't believed you force, compel and cajor to confess just so you will be seen as a "soul winner." For your own pride and boastfulness you and all who engage in this is leading souls that Jesus died for to the ditch. The wrath of God will be heavier upon all those that engage in this. The gracious Lord did not beg you to come and lead the people He love and cherish astray through twisted message. How long shall you wander in pride? If you don't acknowledge and accept that salvation is God's work alone you will perish. Matthew 19 : 17 Message Bible. Jesus looked hard at them and said, "No chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it." ✝ Proverbs 16:18 "Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." KJV Bible Your confession formula can't save you. All over the world people are deceived through this formula. It is true that the Lord delights in our confession, but not on the lips of an unbelieving heart compelled to do it by men. This men pride themselves as soul hunters. They even boast that God is blessing them because they are soul winners. They even manufactured the second coming of the Holy Spirit to explain away the lack of His presence. They neglect plethora of Scripture that clearly explains the road map of our salvation in Christ Jesus, while hanging on to this singular passage of the scripture. The Lord is angry with wolves in sheep clothing leading His beloved to the slaughter house.✝ John 1:12 "But as many as RECEIVED him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that BELIEVE on his name: " KJV Bible✝ John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVETH in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." ✝ John 3:18 "He that BELIEVETH on him is not condemned: but he that BELIEVETH not is condemned already, because he hath not BELIEVED in the name of the only begotten Son of God." KJV Bible ✝ Acts 16:31 "And they said, BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." KJV Bible ✝ Ephesians 1:13 "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye BELIEVED, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise," KJV Bible ✝ John 6:29 "Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye BELIEVED on him whom he hath sent." KJV Bible ✝ John 3:15 "That whosoever BELIEVETH in him should not perish, but have eternal life." KJV Bible ✝ John 7:38 "He that BELIEVETH on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." KJV Bible I will love to continue but let me stop here for now. One thing is common in all this scriptures, it is the word BELIEVE/ACCEPT/AGREE. Jesus said the only work God want you to work in this life is "BELIEVING." Please people loved by God, run away from those who is convincing you that you already have the Holy Spirit because you were compelled to say some prayers. They are the blind leading the blind and the result will be disastrous. I will conclude this by pointing you to the way, the very foundation of the glorious message of God. Amen! "You are forgiven in Christ Jesus and are made right with God forever." I leave you with the peace of Jesus. |

FxMasterz:Confessing Jesus as Lord does not get people saved. But believe in Jesus and His finished work. ✝ Philippians 2:11 "And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." KJV Bible God has decreed that all tongue will one day confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Now does that make the unbelieving ones among them save? ✝ Matthew 15:8 "This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoreth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me." KJV Bible ✝ Luke 6:46 "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" KJV Bible The Lord is not looking at your sweet confession, but your heart of believe. If confession is a formula for salvation what about the deaf and dumb? Have you considered that? Because they can't speak. Jesus never asked us to confess and be saved. God knows that the lips can say something why the heart is saying the opposite. An evil and wicked man can confess the Lord as Lord in other to gain favour. So many convert today are either there because of peer pressure or someone promised them connection. To make the matter worst, the messages they are under is twisted. The message they hear in this places are worsening the situation. Some are there to look for husband, while the men are there to look for new girl friend. ✝ 1 Samuel 16:7 "But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart." KJV Bible The Lord is not looking at our confession but our heart. That is plethora of Scripture speaks of believing and not Confessing. Don't you know you can deceive some one with words? Moreover, apostle Paul is not even talking about the salvation of believers here. He is talking about the salvation of the Nation of Israel as a collective. |

WeirdAlien:The bone of contention here is not prophesying or speaking in tongues or any outward miracle. You are the one making it about it. My point is that those that have the Holy Spirit knows they have Him and those who don't know they have Him, does not have Him. |

Youareforgiven:Whatever you believe. But for those doubting, Jesus said your child won't ask you for fish and you'd give snake. Your child won't ask for egg and you'd give them scorpion. How much more will our dear Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. (Luke 11:11) If you're a Christian and you ask God for the Holy Spirit, You will receive. Believe in your heart that God has given you. You might not feel anything or hear any voice, or speak in tongues, or see visions. The manifestions will come in sooner or later, when you learn to quiet your mind and pay attention to your heart. Youareforgiven:Though he received his sight back, the Bible did not state that he knew at that moment, or there were any signs. Getting healed is a different thing. The only thing we're sure of is that, several days after that, he knew. |

WeirdAlien:There is a principle. Asking God what He has shown you how to receive is ignorance to me. |
| Re: You Can Only Receive The Holy Spirit Once by WeirdAlien: 9:14am On Aug 21, 2024 |
Youareforgiven:Are you even a Christian? Sorry I just have to ask. Mind you I quoted where Jesus himself said the Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. So if you're saying it's ignorance to ask, you're contradicting what Jesus said. How then do you receive? What principle is there? Back it up with scriptures. I'm only replying because I want us to clear the air, for the sake of people viewing this thread who may have struggled on this subject matter. |

WeirdAlien:I am a son of God. Jesus didn't say we should ask for Holy Spirit. ✝ Matthew 7:11 "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" KJV Bible ✝ Luke 11:13 "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" KJV Bible This two verses are saying the same thing. The Holy Spirit is the source of all the goodies of God. The Holy Spirit can give you good things, while not dwelling in you. The bone of contention is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit upon all flesh who believe. The qualification is believing only. Your asking cannot leave the earth, talk less of God hearing and answering. ✝ Ephesians 1:13 "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, |
| Re: You Can Only Receive The Holy Spirit Once by WeirdAlien: 9:32am On Aug 22, 2024 |
Youareforgiven:Your contradiction is in bold. If you ask you will receive (Like 11:13). The apostles, first people to receive the Holy Spirit were in constant prayers for several days (Acts 1-2), they kept asking as Jesus has taught them. Read that Luke 11, but start from verse 5 through to 13. You'll see that the original context Jesus gave on "ask and you shall be given" was about the Holy Ghost. I didn't say that is the only way to receive the Holy Spirit, but A VALID WAY if you haven't received yet as a Christian. Some received by hearing (Acts 10:44), some by laying of hands (Acts 8;17). I strongly suggest you keep an easier bible version with you while you study. KJV is tricky for most people. |
| Re: You Can Only Receive The Holy Spirit Once by Youareforgiven(op): 1:03pm On Aug 22, 2024 |
WeirdAlien:The context of this verse is praying for things. Jesus said if you being evil knows how to give good gifts to your children, how much more your heavenly Father. It is not about asking and receiving the Holy Spirit that will dwell in the believer forever. ✝ John 7:38 "He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." KJV Bible Jesus said it Himself that he that believes and not he that asks. There is nothing wrong in asking if you believe. But the truth is that once you believe God will not wait for you to ask before giving you. ✝ Acts 15:8 "And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;" KJV Bible God sees the heart and knows everyone heart and also gives the Holy Spirit to those who has believed. God is not listening to our asking but looking at the heart. Moreover, there are abundant of chapters that talks about believing and receiving, but just one talking about asking which as usual is being taking out of context. In the mouth of two to three witnesses a word shall be established. ✝ 2 Corinthians 13:1 "This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." KJV Bible |

Youareforgiven:I've shown you how you contradicted yourself in Luke 11. Yet you remained dogmatic. Someone mentioned earlier that this is kobojunkie: Jackanda1:Now I'm having a strong feeling he's right. You repeat the same points even when you're shown scriptures that prove you wrong. You just believe certain (erroneous) things and lack the ability to analyse a discuss properly - you wrongly imply people's thoughts. You exhibit obvious misunderstanding of the scriptures. Every characteristic I've seen about kobojunkie. I'm not insulting you please, but someone needs to tell you truth. I even had to ask you at some point if you're a Christian (true believer). If you can't read Shakespeare's books and understand clearly, KJV Bible is not for you. Even some senior pastors avoid it. First, find a Bible version with easier English, or get one in your mother's tongue (modern translation, not old). So you can see the true meanings of what you're reading. I pray God helps you. |

WeirdAlien:😁😁😁 I don't even know what more to say. If you can show me in the scripture where people asked or prayed for the Holy Spirit I will apologize to you and admit the error is from me. Pls don't come and assume that the content of the apostles prayer was asking for the Holy Spirit. |

Youareforgiven:1. Jeremiah 31 vs 31 - 34 equally states that God would write His Law in the hearts of His people — the descendants of Jacob. Do you equally believe that aspect of the passage you quoted from, or do you merely think you can ignore that aspect of what is written as is the fashion with the religious? ![]() 2. Second, there are two different Laws given by the God of Israel to His people, the children of Israel. The Law given through Moses which I like to refer to as the Old Law of Moses came with it a Holy Spirit which granted those who lived in compliance with God's Law — Holy men—Eternal Life according to God's promise in Deuteronomy 30 vs 15-20. And then there is the Holy Spirit which Jesus Christ who is God's New Covenant Law(the Gospel) in the Kingdom of God spoke would be handed down by His Father to those who love Him(those who abide by or live wholly in submission to His Law in the Kingdom of God) - John 14 vs 15 - 25 & John 15 vs 26 -27 & John 16 vs 4 - 16. In the same Gospels, Jesus Christ is written to have commanded His followers to ask the Father for this particular Holy Spirit whom Jesus Christ described as a Good gift from the Father. 7 “Continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door will open for you.... 9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.You should note that Jesus Christ promised the first Holy Spirit(Spirit of Eternal Life from the Old Law) to those among the people of Israel who would choose to become born-again — they didn't have to pray for it at all as all they needed to was to become born of water and born of Spirit to obtain Him - John 3 vs 5 - 19. ![]() So, assuming you believe Jesus Christ when He said He was sent only to the Lost sheep of Israel — the children of Jacob alone —which of the two Holy Spirits described in Scripture do you claim one does not need to ask for? ![]() |
| Re: You Can Only Receive The Holy Spirit Once by Youareforgiven(op): 9:21pm On Aug 22, 2024 |
Kobojunkie:Firstly, they said I am you. All these guys can see that I am not you because base on your assertion you believe the Holy Spirit can be asked for. Long before there was a nation called Israel, God has made provision for the nations of the earth.✝ Genesis 22:18 "And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice." KJV Bible ✝ Joel 2:28 "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: " KJV Bible ✝ Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." KJV Bible ✝ Galatians 3:29 "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." KJV Bible Believers are also the descendants of Jacob. Though I am struggling to understand most of your post. Jesus Christ commandment is love. ✝ John 13:34 "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." KJV Bible The disciples don't have to pray for the Holy Spirit because they already believed in Jesus even before He went to the cross. Jesus didn't teach His disciples to ask for the Holy Spirit. But if you should to view it that way so be it. Let me ask you a question. ✝ Matthew 6:15 "But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." KJV Bible Do you believe what Jesus said here? I what to check the level of your understanding of this. Do you believe our forgiveness hangs upon we forgiving someone who wrong us so that we can also be forgiven? |

Yes you only receieve the Holy Spirit once, but being filled with the holy Spirit is the level the power of the holy Spirit works through you, you can even quench the Spirit but however he does not leave but his working power through you diminishes. |

Youareforgiven:1. Religion is a scam so I expect those who cling to religion to be consumed by their own confusion. ![]() 2. Yes, YHWH said He would use the seed of Abraham to save the nations of the world, but how does any of that change any of what YHWH is written to have spoken to the House of Jacob — the Nation of Israel and the Nation of Judea aka Jews — in Jeremiah 31 vs 31 - 34? ![]() 3. According to Scripture, the life of a man is in His blood, so to be a descendant of Jacob, one has to be a descendant from the bloodline of Jacob —Israel. So, when YHWH spoke to the House of Jacob (the Israelites including the Jewish tribes among them), YHWH meant those who are of the literal blood of Jacob. So why do you reject YHWH's declarations in Scripture? ![]() 4. Scripture instead has it that Jesus Christ gave His followers almost 100 commandments today which comprise what is referred to as the Gospel and Law in the Kingdom of God. Some of them you Christians invoke regularly without even realizing them for what they are — instructions/commandments/laws/rules that the actual followers of Jesus Christ(all of them descendants of Jacob) are meant to abide by as Law abiding citizens of the Kingdom of God. ■ Ask, Seek, and Knock, in order to receive, find and have the door opened to you Matthew 7 vs 7 ■ Pray continuously. I.e. don't stop asking, seeking, and knocking until you have received, found, and had the door opened to you Matthew 21 vs 22 & Luke 18 vs 1- 8 ■ Avoid vain repetitions because God knows what you want even before you ask Him Matthew 6 vs 7 - 8 ■ Always pray in secret and in hiding Matthew 6 vs 6 ■ Pray the Lord's prayer-Matthew 6 vs 9- 13 ■ Forgive everyone who has hurt or offended you before you pray so your Father in Heaven will forgive you your sins- Matthew 11 vs 25 & Matthew 6 vs 12 ■ Always approach God in Humility- Luke 18 vs 9 - 4 ■ Believe that you have received what you ask for and it shall be done for you Matthew 21 vs 22 & Mark 11 vs 24 ■ Ask the Father in the name of Jesus ChristJohn 15 vs 16 ■ If you abide in Him and He, Jesus, abides in you, then He, Jesus Christ, will do whatever you ask in His name John 14 vs 13-14 & john 15 vs 7 ■ Pray for your enemies - Matthew 5 vs 44 & Luke 6 vs 27- 28 ■ Ask God for the Holy Spirit - Luke 11 vs 13 & Matthew 7 vs 11 The particular instruction about love that you quoted from John 13 is just one of the almost 100 commandments that constitute the Gospel aka the Law of God in the Kingdom of God(Constitutional Law). 5. Of course I believe everything Jesus Christ said is the Truth of God. ![]() And yes I do believe that one cannot be approved holy and hence righteous by God —YHWH —if one holds unforgiveness against others, just as Jesus Christ said. According to Scripture, YHWH does not answer the prayers of the unrighteous —even their pleas for forgiveness go unanswered by Him. Meaning that God does not forgive those who are not first approved Holy and then righteous by His standard. So, when the Law of God in the Kingdom of God — Jesus Christ—says that one has to forgive all those who trespass against one to obtain God's approval for holy and then righteousness which means answers to prayers including granting of forgiveness of sins, then it means that one who bears unforgiveness will remain unholy & hence unrighteous. It is simple to see for anyone will ![]() |

Steep:Being filled is so amazing... I get filled up every now and then, especially when I am praising or meditating on the truth of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. His gentle breeze with surround me and His annoiting keeps dropping on me even as I type this. Kobojunkie:Do you also believe in cutting off an arm that has course you to sin? Jesus said this as well. Jesus was, if I must say, the greatest law preacher. I think I have to do a post about this some day. Over the years the Israelite has watered down the Holy Law of God. They found a way around it in other to look righteous in their on sight. Jesus came and called them all hypocrites.✝ Mark 7:13 "Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye." KJV Bible Ask you that question to ascertain your understanding on the things of God. ✝ Ephesians 4:32 "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." KJV Bible God has forgiven us in Christ not because we forgave our brother. But we are charged to forgive others even as Christ has forgiven us. Even if choose not to forgive anyone that wronged me, my forgiveness in Christ Jesus cannot be cancelled. But how can I not forgive, when my heart is overflowing with the love of God that is shed abroad by the Holy Spirit? Jesus preached the purest form of the law and it true intent. He knows the truest intent of the Law of God, because He was actually the one who gave Moses the Law. In some cases will you see Jesus Christ preaching grace, but majority of his actions was pointing us to grace. As He said He didn't come to abolish the law but to fulfill it, and thanks be to God He did fulfill it and we in Him likewise did same ✝ Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill." KJV Bible The Lord's prayer many people are still praying today are no longer valid because must of it content has been fulfilled by Jesus Christ Himself. Many things Jesus said, He said to those under the law to make them realize their need for a Savior. I am the seed or descendant of Abraham Isaac and Jacob in Christ Jesus. God doesn't see the way man sees. I will leave it at that. |

Youareforgiven:1. The same Jesus Christ taught His disciples that which could cause them to sin. According to Him, it was instead the filthy things stored up in your arm that caused one to sin - Matthew 15 vs 10 - 20 & Mark 7 vs 13 - 26 . That, according to Jesus Christ, is the only thing that can cause one to sin. Knowing this sheds better light on what Jesus Christ said in Matthew 5 vs 27 - 31, right? ![]() 2. I am afraid this is wrong thinking on your part! The Israelites never did water down the Law of Moses. Rather, they taught ideas different from the Law of Moses which remains in tact even to this day. They established religion — after what they learned from their time in Babylon(the Jews did)—and made attempts at usurping God's Law by teaching their religious theologies and doctrines in place of the Law itself. They greatly sinned by attempting to add, remove, and change God's decrees in His Law, hence rendering the Law of no real benefit(non-effect) in their very lives, but that does not mean the Law was diminished in effect over all of Israel, however. ![]() 3. Here's the ridiculous mistake you Christians make of the writings of Paul. You are ever attempting to use Paul to argue against Jesus Christ— I can never understand this ludicrous behavior at all. ![]() He, Paul, made it abundantly clear that His Master is Jesus Christ, meaning they every word he wrote would need to be understood from the context that is Jesus Christ and no other. So, if you don't even agree 100% with Jesus Christ, what gives you the mind to believe you could comprehend or even understand that which was expressed by Paul regarding his stance as a mere servant of the one who is Jesus Christ? ![]() Paul never told any man that God changed His mind, nor did Paul say that God's forgiveness was obtainable OUTSIDE of that declared by Jesus Christ. So, I guess I should ask you why you assume here that by mentioning Paul, you can declare Jesus Christ some sort of liar and at the same time access that which is Jesus Christ. No be mumu be that? ![]() |

Kobojunkie:What you are struggling with is understanding.✝ Galatians 4:4 "But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law," KJV Bible ✝ Galatians 4:5 "To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons." KJV Bible ✝ Luke 5:32 "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." KJV Bible This is Christ mission statement right here and Paul preach it rightly. Jesus only preached the law to make those under the law see the futility in trying to come to God by it. God demands absolute and total righteousness from men and not partial righteousness.... Ninety nine percent good and one percent bad is not acceptable to the high and lofty One. Be perfect because your heavenly Father is perfect says the Holy One. Jesus didn't preach grace at the time, but His actions definitely spoke grace. He forgave sin because He is our forgiveness in God. He healed because he bored our afflictions. He provided because He is our provision in God. All that Paul preach, Jesus Christ taught Him. |

Youareforgiven:Stop with the lame attempts at hiding your ignorance and blatant rejection of Jesus Christ behind the posting of random verses — verses conveniently lifted out of context by the way. Let's go back to the beginning abeg cause all of this makes no sense if you do not even accept Jesus Christ. Accepting Jesus Christ means acquiescing to all He declared; acknowledging it all as truth, facts that apply even to this day! ![]() 1. The same Jesus Christ whose mission you claim to know made it abundantly clear that He was sent by His Father only to the Lost sheep of Israel - Matthew 20 vs 15 - 21. The same Jesus Christ made it abundantly clear that the world He was sent to by His Father is the same world that His Father caused Moses to raise the Bronze Snake to in the desert, the world that comprised of the condemned of the Israelites - John 3 vs 14 - 18. The same Jesus Christ is written to have warned His followers against giving that which is Holy — the Kingdom of God and the Law which God gave by Him — to the dogs(non-Israelites) warning that they would tear it apart and hurt them afterward - Matthew 7 vs 6 . Jeremiah in Jeremiah 31 vs 31 - 34 wrote that God's New Law would be given by God to the House of Jacob, a truth affirmed by Jesus Christ throughout His Gospel which He also declared was everlasting —UNCHANGING. There is no record of Jesus Christ welcoming non-Israelites into the nation and agreement that is the Kingdom of God. This makes sense as such an idea would have set Jesus Christ against His Father whose will Jesus Christ made clear He submits only to. ![]() So, back to my original question to you. Do you equally believe that aspect of Scripture and the Gospel you quote from, or do you merely think you can ignore that aspect of what is written as is the fashion of the religious? ![]() |

Kobojunkie:How again should I tell you that Jesus said all that because the time of gentiles has not yet come. Same Jesus said this when the time was right ✝ Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." KJV Bible Go ye into the world, not preach to Israelite only. |

Youareforgiven:You are simply parroting lies fed to you by your men-of-gods scammers, do you realize that? ![]() Jesus Christ clearly defined the world to which He was sent in His teachings. In John 3 below, He narrowed it down to the same world that God caused Moses to lift the snake in the desert to — the world comprised of the condemned of Israel. (Yes, condemned by the God of Israel to die.) 14 “Moses lifted up the snake in the desert. It is the same with the Son of Man. He must be lifted up too.Indeed, God loved the world which He cursed, the condemned of Israel. ![]() In Matthew 20 vs 21 - 28, Jesus Christ further informed all those listening that His Father sent Him only to the Lost Sheep of Israel. The same Jesus Christ is recorded to have warned His followers against giving that which is Holy to the dogs — the non-Israelites. 6 “Don’t give something that is holy to dogs. They will only turn and hurt you. And don’t throw your pearls to pigs. They will only step on them. - Matthew 7 vs 6By a simple process of elimination, we have that the world that Jesus Christ sent His followers into is that which is comprised only of those who are of the blood of Israel and every one of them(including the non-Jewish tribes of Israel)— the Lost sheep of Israel— is to be preached to - Mark 16 vs 15. ![]() So, where exactly does this idea you lot have of those Jesus Christ referred to as dogs(non-Israelites whom you mistakenly assume are called gentiles in Scripture) come from? ![]() |

Kobojunkie:✝ Genesis 22:18 "And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice." KJV Bible All the nations of the earth is Isreal 😁😁😁😁✝ John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." KJV Bible Isreal is still the world here. ✝ John 1:29 "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." KJV Bible Isreal is also the world here. 😁😁😁... I can see you are trolling |

Youareforgiven:1. Let me see! So, in your attempt to resolve what is written in Genesis 22, you resorted to turning Jesus Christ and YHWH into liars? Are you sure you are alright at all? ![]() Pay careful attention to what is written in Genesis 22 which you quoted from. 15 The angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time.Above it is stated that Abraham's people — His descendants — will live in cities they will take from their enemies, and every Nation will be blessed by Abraham's descendants— plural form. Abraham's descendants are indicated as a group separate from all other groups of the earth and nations. According to Scripture, and the God of Israel, those descendants are the children of Israel. And they would be a blessing to all the Nations. ![]() So, the statement that the descendants of Abraham will bless all the Nations is not hard to comprehend, right? 🤔 2. John was a prophet of YHWH. He believed in the God of Israel. He believed the Word of the God of Israel spoken through Ezekiel, David, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Joel, etc., all of which said that the Messiah would be sent to save the condemned for their sins of the House of Jacob. So, why would you reach a conclusion that suggests John believed differently from all those sent from the same God before His time? 🤔
