My post was directed at Umahi who claimed the property owners are "bad people" for going to the courts to seek further compensation for their properties destroyed.

You don't destroy someone's property worth billions of naira and give them paltry 1.3m as compensation simply because u can.

The people have a right to go to court to seek property compensation from the government. They are not bad people for exercising their legal right.

It's only people who have never made money in their lives to acquire assets and political sycophants that will think they are bad people.

Do u think if they built house on government land the government would've given them any compensation at all?

Did u follow the news at all? All the people who got compensated are people whom the government confirmed were occupying the land legally.

The issue is the compensation does not match even 1% of the actual value of the property destroyed and those people have gone to court to demand what they believe is fair

half way kee? They awarded 100km out of the estimated 700km. I bet they wouldn't complete even 50km of the Road before excuses and blame game will overshadow everything. But money must have been spent
