That makes no sense! Does the land not have an owner? Is the owner of the land made aware beforehand of the fact that his land would be used for such a purpose by the traditional ruler? Why should a traditional leader collect any amount from them without first designating a fenced off area in his community where this rent collected is to apply?

To this day we have had no explanation as to why the so-called traditional rulers have instead taken to negotiating with these herders instead of completely having them evicted from the local lands. This is a possible reason and should be investigated rather than being tossed out as you would prefer for reasons best known to you.

We are talking here of the same traditional leaders who on numerous occasions have been noted to have taken bribes from politicians so what makes you believe that the deal they had with those politicians did not include accepting herders in their communities?

Traditional rulers are not custodians of communal or private lands in Igbo land hence this is a pure lie.

Igbos should never fall for this by going after your traditional leaders. Sack them out of your land; they should go to whomever they paid money to for a refund; they're not welcome to our lands and territory.

This was actually the genesis of Jos crisis. While most of them are drunkers and there kings are lovers of money, de sold out 70% of there lands to the fulani's and after there children have grow up, de find out that de have nothing left for them to survive on and ask the fulani's to leave..

Yes, trespassing laws. They are supposed not to trespass on private property but for some reason, they continue to do so particularly in many of the villages with impunity.

I know some kings in Yorùbáland, who were chronic 419 criminals in America B4 coming home to be king.
When you crown ppl without going through the proper IFA Traditional rites, you invite criminals to reign over you.

That's why children-of-a-thousand-fathers are reigning over many lands in Yorùbáland. These ppl must be flushed out ASAP.

This is a serious allegations against the traditional elders in the various communities across the Nation

I now understand why there is always issues between them and the people in the host community. It seems our rulers have become too greedy and are over billing them. This may be one of the reasons why they are transferring aggression on the people in the community.
