↪ Keep shut dear, imolites have absolutely nothing to do, from your local government to your state government and finally to your federal government, all sectors are corrupted, it's not all about risking your life or your loved ones, already selection is in place before the election, nationwide. Please spear imolites.
But whine every day online about how it is all bad? come on naw! No one achieves anything by folding their hands. I guess the saying "Fight for your rights!" is completely lost on you. 🙄🙄🙄

Ihedioha would have been rigged out by Hope.
Who do think rigging is?

Politicians only rig where they are popular.

What really baffle me is the insensitivity of these people. They are calling him supreme governor, that he was installed as the governor by supreme Court. Then he beat the next opponent by wide margin in the next election.
Can this even happen in Osun or Oyo state. It is as if Imo indigenes were sleeping during the election. Probably they want Tinubu right from Abuja to come and make a change for them.
Instead of asking themselves why they love money to the extent of allowing evil to prevail they are attacking federal government and INEC. Where is sense in this.
I was really surprised. The way many of them were boasting on this platform that he will be disgraced and he ended up disgracing them. Labour party came a distance third. You have said it all. Maybe money exchange hands and they are very notorious for loving money.

I said on the other thread that Nigeria judiciary is for the highest bidder. This, right here, confirms my assertion. Here is governor Hope Uzodinma, who came 4th in the Imo State guber elections four years ago. How he came from fourth position to becoming the governor based on Supreme Court judgement is the 8th wonder of the world, all because his party, the APC, was and still the ruling party at the center.
ok we don here you. Next!
Nigerian judiciary has long gone to the dogs!

Dispationately, Imo state election judgement is fair and more straightforward to me than the judgement that brought in Diri and sacked APC in Zamfara (Except you didn't read excerpts of the court cases). So I don't know why it's more demonized.
I agree with you.it is more demonized because the party they love to hate APC is involved

First, I said House of Assembly members, not member. Now, how do you go about recalling all the members?

Secondly, Nigeria practices democracy only on paper. What is happening in real life is highly different from democracy. Remember that it's on record that INEC and the Supreme Court said Tinubu won Rivers. I just pointed out an obvious one where everyone knows Tinubu didn't win. In our very own eyes, they rewarded the orchestrator of that insanity with a juicy position as an FCT Minister.

Democracy indeed!!

If (a big IF) you succeed in recalling all the house of assembly members through the so-called INEC, who is certifying the new ones as duly elected? Same INEC right?

Welcome to Nigeria where a military take-over or a civilian revolution are the only two options remaining. The second option is a much better one, in my opinion.

Kobojunkieee:
If your assembly member does not do as you want, you can recall him! Recalls are done via INEC and not via the House of Assembly. undecided

If at first you don't succeed, try again and again, until you get what is your right. That is how democracy works! It has never been handed to anyone on a platter of gold. undecided

1. Constituents in the 109 senatorial districts can simply submit a petition to INEC to have their member recalled. undecided

2. The Nigerian system is primarily fked mainly because the people of Nigeria have remained uninvolved up until now in the running of their democracy. (Democracy is the Government of the people by the people.) So, what you say is happening in real life is what should normally be expected. There is nothing out of this world about what is happening in Nigeria. The ones who are meant to be at the helm of things — the people— have refused to be involved in the running of their government so it all makes sense. undecided

3. But it is not on record that the people have stood to demand his removal from office since then. I have, to this day, not heard the people clamoring for his impeachment and his administration has committed several impeachable crimes, mind you. undecided

4. Well, I doubt if the people were to recall someone like Akpabio and demand his immediate prosecution as well, any new members would dare to go against the people. But, if that happened, the people could simply impeach that one too — rinse and repeat— until they find the candidate of their desire. People running businesses don't usually think twice about firing incompetent workers, so I see no benefit in Nigerians holding on to proven incompetent workers and thieves for that matter when they could get rid of them and try with other candidates. undecided

5. A military take-over is a lazy option because the military has nothing better than the same old looting spree and corruption to offer Nigerians. A civilian revolution is needed because the people of Nigeria, from the beginning, chose to take the backseat to their revolution. In essence, they are to blame. undecided

Supreme court is not village square with elders breaking kola and judging based on sentiments and emotion.

The legal profession is about intricate technicalities, procedural frameworks, and established norms as integral components. You could be right and still fail to prove your case in court.
We have seen how justice is served in Nigeria, one day when it is your turn, same “technicalities” will be used on you. A country where innocent citizens are suffering because of highest bidder and you open mouth to spew trash. Such justice will meet you one day and you will explain to your children the technicality that made 4 position first in Nigeria, lol
