Give Us N150 Million To Buy A House In Lagos — Late Emir Of Kano's Daughter Begs by kingjayzeelan07(op): 11:51pm On Aug 23, 2024
Zainab, daughter of the late Emir of Kano Ado Bayero, has sought Governor Abba Yusuf’s help for a house and financial support.

Bayero, who died on June 6, 2014 at age 83, was the longest serving emir in Kano’s history after he ruled from 1963 to 2014.

In an interview with PremiumTimes on Friday, August 23, Zainab said: “I know a lot of people will be very surprised that the daughter of an Emir is in this kind of situation. Being born into a polygamous home, there are a lot of intrigues and divisions.
"

"The whole thing started when my daddy di£d; his d£ath left a void within the family. Everyone was alone, especially me, my mother and my younger brother. We were not given a part of his (my father’s) estate, so we were left in a terrible situation, which has been going on for ten years."

"We’ve been trying to survive and find ways to get back on our feet and return to a proper environment—to have a home, not renting or moving from hotel to hotel. We would love the governor to help us buy or give us money to get a house here in Lagos.
"

"Since our father’s death, we believe it would be better to relocate to Lagos and start a new life for safety and freedom and to live our lives the way we want.

The deception of four wives should be discovered. Imagine if this man just married one wife with multiple children, all these drama won't be there.

Re: Give Us N150 Million To Buy A House In Lagos — Late Emir Of Kano's Daughter Begs by sreamsense:
This is one clear underlying problem behind Mohammad's ideology of marrying multiple wives. It creates more problems, divisions and enimity among the families. Only the selfish man that marries multiple wives have small benefits of sexual enjoyment, but he creates multiple problems for his next generation and grand children. It breeds poverty more than wealth. It takes God's grace to survive in that kind of environment after the man died or even before they died atimes.More hardship if the women are even jobless with plenty children to take care of.

Reeks of entitlement mentality. Your dad WAS an emir, so what ? The world owes you a house or you are too big to be a tenant ?

Time and chance happens to us all and all you can do is flow along while trying to stay afloat.

You are young and able-bodied, get busy. If you are too entitled to work then by all means get yourself an Alhaji and continue from where your mum stopped.

He should dash you 150M to buy a house after he cleared your house rent a Month ago, why not ask for a job so you can be engaged and start taking good care of that old woman. I really don't know how some people think though, this entitlement mentality has really eaten deep into some people sad

Everybody wants to leave in Lagos... What happened to living in kano or Borno?

They should give them the 150m sha... I'm sure all the money won't end on housing, they'll probably divert the rest into profitable business opportunities.

Its not an entitlement mentality but a request.
The request tells a big secret. It shows what state government is capable of doing yet the regular Nigerians have no idea.

A very appropriate response. One cannot but wonder at the audacity and the level of shamelessness. Whose fault then is it that they move from hotel to hotel? Whose fault is it that from the estate of the late father, they could not receive finance to live the kind of luxurious life their entitlement me mentality demands?

Truly some citizens think others are idiots.

Says who
You never see siblings of the same parents not seeing eye to eye because of hatred?

Most polygamous families that have money don't have problems as money will be enough for everyones needs (but not for everyones greed)

This girls mother must have been rejected by most family members that's why they didn't get any inheritance
The Emir probably married her mom against advices thats why the late emirs family abandoned them

You're out of his jurisdiction, you expect him to give you that much money to go and spend in another state? If you're in dire need of accommodation, go back to Kano and ask for a house there.

Sorry this doesn't sound like a request to me, it seems like she kept the money with him before and now asking him to bring out more despite the same man helping to offset their years of rent indebtedness just a Month ago. If i were her, I'd humbly request he assisted me in getting a good job so i don't have to continue depending on him or people out there. It's better you're taught how to fish than to be continuously being fed, that's an act of laziness. A whole 150M given to you to buy a house because you're the minister of Kano residing in Lagos State, do you know how many businesses that money can set up for an ordinary man/woman in Kano? Moreover why does she always have to come to the media to call out the governor whenever she wants help, i believe there should be a proper channel to seek for assistance.

Her father was the late Emir who preceded SLS not this recently deposed one. Still not a reason to be demanding for that kind of money except she and her mother has something on the governor that we don't know. Her best option now is to go back to Kano and marry an elite even if it's as a 4th wife.

My dear sister you don't need to beg for money to relocate to Lagos state, you're the slave master and those of your slaves have no choice but to make a house available for you and your family. You people owned them and their properties grin grin grin grin grin

Her father maybe the past governor it doesn't give her the right to be demanding that huge amount of money at a time like this when the ordinary Kano man cant afford a common cup of garri, must they stay in the highbrow area of Lagos? Why not return to Kano. She has to wake up to reality, get up and find something doing at least for the sake of her mum and younger brother

If you check my post, you'll see where said if they are given the 150m for housing allowance or whatever we chose to call it, all that 150 can not go into acquiring a property. Bulk of the money will certainly be diverted into some businesses.
You can't hand me 150millon for housing now and expect I'll spend it all on housing. It's logically impossible for a right thinking human.
