In Delta Central, they have 8LGAs, in Delta South, they have have 2 LGAS which they share with Ijaws and Itsekiri, and they're on the offensive side of pressing Southwards to collect their lands back from the Itsekiris who migrated into that area.

Nobody is forcing you to join SouthEast rather it is Anioma people voluntarily want to merge with SE.
We have been agitating for a sixth state within Southeast zone,in fact it will be a great sacrifice for us to secede the sixth state to Anioma.Nobody is begging you.We can go ahead with our Etiti state.

The reason Ika and Ndokwa people have greatly withdrawn from this Anioma nonsense is because of some Aniocha Oshimili people. When Ika wants to release statement or discuss about their identity and politics, they restrict it to Ika, when Ukwani wants to do same, they restrict it to Ndukwa but some overzealous Oshimili people keep trying to impose their identity on everyone trying to createa new ethnic group that has never existed. Why are our Yoruba brothers very bitter about Anioma having a state and relating with our kit and kin across the Niger River, the Ooni will travel to Brazil and Caribbean, Benin Republic and Togo and claim them as Yorubas but cannot allow allow Anioma people to have an identity as a sub-Igboid group like Owerri, Aba or Nsukka man with whom they share a lot of affinity with them.

Its like some tribes in Nigeria doesn't want Anioma to progress because identifying as Igbos will give Anioma the population and numbers and stronger voice to be forceful in pushing their desires for an equitable country 🤔

There's a tribe in Kogi state that claim claim they are not Yoruba even though they answer Yoruba names and share similar language and culture with the Yorubas. What more, they have Ife origin just has every other Yoruba group. Yet they never for once agreed to be Yoruba. They have chosen their identity and are satisfied with it.
