A Question To All Christians. Christians Come In. by nans24(op):
Christians, come in, grab a chair and let us discuss. Before I begin, let me make it clear to everyone that I am a Christian and the church I attend makes use of what I am about to discuss,

There is a particular symbol that is well known in Christianity.

We see this symbol every where in churches, magazines, bibles , shirt, stickers and jewelleries

The symbol I am talking about is this :

https://ainhypho.sirv.com/V.jpg

We all know what it is. This is a symbol of the device used to torture and kill our lord and saviour christ jesus.

Now my question is, Is it right for Christians and believers in Christ to make use of this symbol like most people do?

Let us for a moment imagine that Christ was killed on this:

Will it not be odd and fetish if people made use of the above image in churches, magazines, bibles , shirt, stickers and jewelleries?

huh

I learnt something yesterday from 2nd Corinthians 4 I guess
The treasure hidden in a clay jar
When I look inwards what do I see
An innocent man that was killed for doing pure good and his sufferings before he was raised on the cross
Even God no gree for that kin injustice
I look outside and I see people with so much wisdom arguing about his skin colour and where he was born blah blah blah
While some doubters are waiting for him to drop 32 days rain before the have common sense
But an innocent man was killed and you don’t even feel bad about it..what happened to human conscience
has any witness ever come and say he did them bad? No and that was how holy he was
No man has that bragging right not even me that is talking..but when I learnt about him I changed
So the cross is a reminder of his sufferings and my pledge to that man instead of the wicked world
I want to be like him 😁
I really don’t know how to explain this things while typing though

I get your point. If Jesus was killed with a guillotine will people use the guillotine same way they used the wooden cross which was used to kill Jesus?

If they do it will certainly look odd and fetish.

I think the devil has played a trick on many Christians who use that symbol of the wooden cross. They think they are honouring Christ or protecting themselves with it like a talisman but in reality, they are actually mocking Christ.

He has always been mocked but it’s not it because he doesn’t care about being mocked
He is Jesus Christ remember? The full divine manifestation of light truth and spirit what is mere mockery to him
It’s a symbol of remembrance and sober reflection of conscience

Okay, I appreciate your take.

In others words, the device used to torture him reminds you of the pain he went through in order to save man and this makes you appreciate and love him more.

There is little to no real evidence the man, Jesus Christ, was nailed to a cross-shaped tree. Do a bit of research of your own, and you are bound to learn that the cross symbol adopted by the religion of Christianity dates to the time of Emperor Constantine. It was all political by the way. There is no direct connection between the Emperor, the religion which he named the official religion of Rome, a religion formed by non-Israelites by the way, and the person of Jesus Christ. So, try to separate your Christian religion, its many symbols and rituals, from the person of Jesus Christ. undecided

So if Jesus was burnt alive in a fiery furnace, or thrown into a vat of acid, you will put pictures of fiery furnace or vat of acid all over your house to remind you of the pain he felt and why you should follow him?

Sorry but that's a messed up way of thinking or remembering.

First and foremost what do you believe in?
Let me know where to start from because the message of the cross might actually sound foolish to you

It is the fact! Jesus Christ is written to have warned His followers against giving that which is Holy — the Kingdom of God and the Gospel— to the dogs — non-Israelites - Matthew 7 vs 6. He made clear that His Father, the God of Israel also known as YHWH, sent Him only to the Lost Sheep of Israel- Matthew 15 vs 20-25. And even after His death, He is not recorded to have backtracked on that declaration and command which He gave to His followers. This means Christianity which was founded by non-Israelites — all of their Roman church fathers never even claimed to be of the blood of Jacob/Israel — have no direct connections to the man, Jesus Christ, and the movement which He started almost 2000 years ago. undecided

Jesus wasn't executed on a cross the worship of cross has been in existence before Jesus was born.

In I Corinthians 1:18, we are told that the cross is “the power of God.” There is no greater power in the universe than the power of God, and therefore there is no greater power than the cross. Believe in it. Grow in your faith in the cross of the Son of God.

The power of the cross written about in 1 Corinthians is to curse all who were hung from it. Jesus Christ of Israel who hung on the cross to die, died a cursed man as a result of hanging on the cross, because of the curse of the God of Israel specifically on all those who hung on the tree to die. Yes, it is the power of the God of Israel but for you to claim there is no greater power than the cross is of ignorance born of religion. lipsrsealed

The devil playing tricks on the gullible are your numerous Christian scammers-in-the-lords who use the religion that they created to deceive and delude the bulk of you into funding their lifestyles and retirements here on earth all while manipulating you all with talks of a deity they know nothing of and heaven which only awaits you if you listen and do everything according to how they script it. undecided
