It simply means Holy Spirit can't be a person if Jesus said "only the father" after excluding the Son therefore the concept of Trinity is false, there can't be three persons in one yet Jesus said he himself who is the Son doesn't know something and goes further to say "only the father knows"

So had it been your friend agreed that the Holy Spirit is not a person it would make sense that IT could know but if it's a person Jesus wouldn't have used the phrase "only the father" after all there supposed to be three in One person.

Jesus' use of idioms has rendered all of them unwise because the Holy Spirit knowing God's mind simply means when true Christians wants to do something as a congregation but are lost in thought regarding the way forward they should trust the Holy Spirit in directing them to scriptures that will serve as light during such dark moments. Psalms 119:105

But trinitarians used that to support their Trinity yet they can't arrive at the same junction in doing things in harmony like real disciples! 1Corinthians 1:10; Ephesians 4:3

The first point here is that TO KNOW shows the being is a PEESON.
Then, the main point is that for Holy Spirit to know Gods mind means He is FULLY CONSCIOUS and Jesus point was about creature limitations mind.
No! Jesus is not a liar like those who lied against God and His word.
