I still believe Russia is prolonging the war to bring Ukraine and her allies to their knee. Russia is capable of running zelensky out of Kyiv if Putin so wishes but he decides to prolong the war to teach NATO a lesson they will not forget in a hurry. At the moment, Ukraine is in ruins . In both wars it was USA that helped Russia. 2nd world war for example, Russia lost 27 MILLION PEOPLE, 8 MILLION millitary and 19 MILLION civilians from the hand of Germany while Germany lost only 5 Million people total. And Germany lost is from European and USA side and not already devasted Russia.
