Soldiers are not more the soldiers we use to know. Few days ago they kidnapped my dad's driver at a place called Lamkpese somewhere in Edo state when he was coming back from Lagos, he was freed yesterday after paying a ransome and in his story he told us the kidnappers were actually soldiers and it was done in-between two soldier checkpoints and those ones were just watching them while the soldiers kidnappers were doing their thing, the kidnappers were fully on army uniform and riffles. Nigeria is in danger, our security system has been corrupted, they now make money through kidnapping.

This must have been a clear case of "do you know who I am?"

I pass military checkpoints on the way to my farm at least three times a week. Not once have I had any altercation with them and this is nearly 10 years and counting.

You respect them, they respect you. In fact, military men are more prone to show you respect once they see you in your car looking responsible, until you start to disrespect them and do and talk anyhow.

Then they will show you that after God, na government and na them be government for road.

Useless force that’s why most of their children behave anyhow

In another news it was said that the police DPO refused to stop when the soldiers stopped him at the checking point, them he was shot and 2 AK 47 rifles were found in his car.

Now police said he was murdered even after identifying himself as a police man, this message is not clear....

1. Did he stop?
2. Does the soldiers know that he's a police man?
3. If he stopped and he was shot how did his car got to into the bush?

Army is not law enforcement and shouldn't be on the streets without police oversight.

Even small Ghana knows this and deploy appropriate mechanisms in all events where army is needed on the streets

Where's the witness? Or how did the police spokesperson know exactly what transpired between them? I don't agree he was shot unprovoked. Plus if those guns in the picture were found in his boot then there's more to the circumstances surrounding his death. Those are not police riffles. And why does he have two of such guns?
