That's why Nketiah became useless.

You are absolutely correct with the bolded. Let me add and mid-block defending too like we saw against Aston Villa, a quick striker would have gotten several 1 on 1 chances once he escapes the high line offside trap.

However, Arteta has other ways as I noticed how he broke that mid-block against Villa by overloading the midfield with Timber and Havertz while pushing Saka and Trossard higher

In terms of dictating and breaking down low blocks for arsenal when things gets tight(like dropping into midfield and starting attack). We call on Odegaard. Same thing Kdb does when things gets tight.

I read an analysis on The athletic on how Arteta worked in breaking down their highline and it really worked if not for poor execution of mostly final pass by the players. We were setup to exploit them perfectly, just wrong execution.
