There are some rare and extremely CHEAP fruits that can only be found in the Northern part of Nigeria. These rare fruits can also be seeing in some parts of this Country. But they found their way there from the North.

Dates are not cheap and garden eggs are not rare fruits. I know that the size of garden eggs in the north are as big as an orange. I enjoyed eating garden eggs back then in school in the north

cheap is relative, the last time i bought dates last month, it sells for #200 per nylon with about 5 pieces undecided

Dates is extremely expensive.And some people dislike it because it's extremely sweet just like sugar.Dates should be eaten in moderation because of its sugar content.

I think you are slow. So the people that hawk apples in Nigeria do so because it grows in their place? Or because Hausas are mostly the ones that hawk sugar cane hence sugar cane is only grown in the north?

yeah it's very sweet but it has low glycemic index that is, its sugar content does not rush into the blood and therefore not likely to cause diabetes, although like every food,it should be taken in moderation

The instance you cited is lame, apple sellers is not pertinent to one tribe besides it a common knowledge apples are imported,

i dont know why some tribe are feeling attacked, i have never seen an igbo sell date in lagos or the 28 states i have visited in Nig.
