The OP is a known sore Obidient loser turn IPOB.

He created this thread which was pushed to FP by the IPOB mod to bring back nostalgia for military dictatorship.

They are that desperate to see to an end to our democracy all because a Yoruba man is President.

Well, sticking to the topic, I give you my own

Brigadier Benjamin Adekunle aka Black Scorpion.

Sanni Abacha - He is always quiet but calculative and highly intelligent. It was no mean feat for him to scrutiny the Major Gideon Orkar coup.

Nobody is talking about General Tunde Idiagbon. He is the "no nonsense General" he was the vice president under Buhari back then and was responsible for all the policies that made Nigeria better. Buhari was quiet as usual cos he wasn't good with economics. He was only good in battle.

Nigerians have a short memory. It's astonishing how dictators and autocrats can inspire anyone, considering they're responsible for mortgaging Nigeria's future from 1966 to date. However, it's worth noting that tribalism was less pronounced during the IBB era.

cool Gen Babangida of course... He still have legacy projects we can see till today and he is still doing his best to be of influence in Nigeria despite old age catching up ... then Gen Obasanjo when everyone is getting old and tired , Baba is getting young and stronger,a global influencer, one who speaks truth to power and damn the consequences, and also quick to adapt to life outside office.. Gen Abacha because he is the quite and handsome one, doesn't talk too much..Gen T Y Danjuma for his charitable doings , he doesn't make noise about it..but he touches lives annually ...

The only thing I like of those of yesterday was that they make military value more cohesive.
Not like this small soldiers doing tiktok challenge with bandits inside bush.
I was born and raised in the barracks I love the yesterday soldiers because they have respect and protect their uniforms with integrity

This is a weird question, what's there to admire or be fascinated about? They had guns and controlled armies, who couldn't do what they did given all they had at their disposal?

Exactly. Any barrack boys born in the 90s would testify to how different soldiers back then were built. They moved different. In my opinion the last wave of those breed are 79Na and 90NA.

Nigeria no doubt have had it own share of military men and women that really hold their Fort during the prime of their time. From the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force, they are all bestriding everywhere.

Here are pictures of some of them. You can add your favourite Nigerian military man or woman to make the thread more interesting. The floor is opened.
None.
They are the architects of today's problems in Nigeria.

I disagree, Major Gideon Orkar coup was against tribalism. He attended a official state function in sokoto which was addressed in Hausa. Gen Abacha was the no nonsense man who dealt with a sultan, Abacha exploits are extreme

Abacha that eventually got power drunk.
Though tried with that sultan saga.
But who knows what all that was really all about?

Your godfather stole presidential election in 2023, ran with it and turned Nigerians into beggars for food.

IPOB is an organisation with motto of no violence. But you terrorists started to kill unarmed IPOB members celebrating in a church in Aba, then go to operation python dance. It's only the parasites of Nigeria who see IPOB as terrorist organisation.
