That is not the origin of Christian. That is when the word "christian" began to be used on people who behave like these people hereinafter called christians.

The failure to understand the fact that the Bible comprises of 2 religious dispensation.
Failure to come to terms with this fact will lead to abberative Christian practices and teachings. Which is what we are having today.

It is the reason why christians want to be rich like David, Abraham, Jacob etc.
It is also the reason why christians pray that their enemies should die.
It is the reason why christians preach and enforce tithing and seed sowing with fear.

Christ talked about tithing and he said it is not something serious that the biggest thing which is love is weightier and mightier than tithing. He is not interested in your tithe.

Now, what will be your defense for not using that your so called tithe to feed the poor? Will you tell him that you thought he is hungry and you need to feed his priest? Religion is enlightenment and shouldn't make us dull

Tithing is God's instruction to every true believer. It was commanded by God first for the children of Israel as part of their duties to the Lord for His manifold provision and for the upkeep of the Levi, who were not allowed to work nor entitled to any inheritance.[Deüteronomy 26:11-14; 12:6, 11; 14:28; Numbers 18:21-28;
However, tithing is a way of meeting the immediate needs of God's servants who are not allow to engage in physical work but rather committed to the service of God, and is also met to affirm our obedience to Him. It a platform to showing our gratitude to God for His innumerable blessings in Christ Jesus towards us. Nehemiah 10:35-38; 13:5,12; 12:44; 2Chronicles31:12 so, in nutshell, God commanded us to pay tithe as heaven-bound Christians. In Malachi 3:6-12; and He[God] called the defaulters thief, meaning that those who disobey this instruction are robbing God of His right because after all, all that we have belong to God. And no thief or robber will have part in the kingdom of God. Revelation 21:8;
Moreover, some fake preachers say tithing is an old testament stuff and that is only require from the children of Israel little they know that all true believers are the Israel of today, and that even The New testament believers also pay tithe as commanded by God through apostle Paul Hebrew 7:5,6,8,9; Luke18:12;
Finally, it will be on the safer side to do everything that the BIBLE commanded than obeying some, because he that offend in one offend in all. And God will not overlook willful disobedience. May His grace be sufficient for us all. Amen , SHALOM.

It is not. Tithing was not a Christian Law it was a Judaic Law ( the Laws of Moses) which bounds the Hebrews with the covenant God made with them.
