I remember the 1990s Nigeria when pump prices of petrol and diesel were rock bottom.
One filled one's tanks while petrol attendants sat down and not even interested.
That was when true leaders were in charge of Nigeria.

Example,Now that FG has denied fuel price increament to #1000 just know that fuel price will be #1200 atleast #1100 before October ending

Is there really any hope of fuel price being sustained at below ₦1000 per litre, when some Govt officials reason that lower fuel price will further encourage smuggling to neighbouring countries.

You have to be well connected to smuggle fuel out of Nigeria as of today. It is the same government official saying it will encourage smuggling that is smuggling the fuel. Tinubu and his deputy knows those that smuggle fuel. I would be very surprised if they don't know.

The only way Tinubu can solve this whole fuel issue is to dissolve the useless criminal nnpc and embark on devolution. Let the oil state or the region take control of the oil while having modular refinery in each oil state with their own fuel stations. Each oil state will then easily refine and sell to the people.
