This is good news, but how can we cut Nnpcl out of this, so that markerters can buy directly.
I hope this bring the price of fuel below 600
I doubt this one NNPCL is now selling at 850 per liter

I think Dangote needs to be very transparent. Even if NNPC must buy, tell us how many litres and how much. Announce it via press conference. They won't be able to hide.
Let's hope so.

Where are those people who said Dangote refinery will never produce pms until 2027?
Re: Takeaways From Dangote’s Press Conference On Petrol Production by xavuv: 12:54pm On Sep 03, 2024

Re: Takeaways From Dangote’s Press Conference On Petrol Production by freemanq(m): 1:00pm On Sep 03, 2024
I don't need any big English just reduced the price of fuel
Re: Takeaways From Dangote’s Press Conference On Petrol Production by Neoteny(m): 1:01pm On Sep 03, 2024
People saying it should be cheaper don't understand the principles of commerce.

Surely they're not advocating he sells at a loss?
Re: Takeaways From Dangote’s Press Conference On Petrol Production by seborrhic: 1:02pm On Sep 03, 2024
Press conference but the most important item, the price he didn't state.
Soon the same people praising him would start crying when the price is would sell for at the retail market comes out.
Soon you would start hearing stories of car owners and especially commercial vehicle drivers lamenting on how this "new fuel doesn't last",how it 'makes their vehicles have issues'.
The Lamentations would soon begin.
A head of a regulatory agency made some very serious public accusations on the quality of fuel from the refinery.Dangote disputed this.
So if the man was lying about so serious an issue why is he still on the job.
If he was telling the truth,is dangote pushing out lower quality products because one party must be lying.

All the fuel Subsidy made NNPCL to accrued debt of 6 trillion naira. It has been in the news for like two weeks that NNPCL is owing. So some weeks, the price will be 850 per liter

So internal combustion engines will be our mainstay now, no more EVs...
The exchange rate, for now has made purchasing of EV vehicles prohibitive. Coupled with the inadequate power infrastructure for charging.

NNPC has already monopolized the purchasing and distribution of fuel from Dangote. It can't be cheap.

200 million people relying on one refinery owned by a monopolist. What happened to Dangote cement will definitely happen to his refined products.

power of monopoly will be at play here but the useless government need to make our refineries work and put competent people there but with those idiots in power, I know that will never happen.
Go and get your own license if it's easy.

After all your takeaway, what is the price?

Of what value is your takeaway without price of the petrol?

If Dangote or nnpc start selling fuel at say N750,you would see some people on air,SM and public thanking tinubu for "bringing down the price of fuel",that was selling for 580 just 2 months ago! That he met at 300!!
That is how many Nigerians have exchanged their brain matter for sawdust.

I would have suggested that government allowed Dangote to sell the product directly to the market before intervening.

Na Nnpcl know waiting them use 6b$ do.
Besides if the naira is going downward like I plane with bad engine, they won't spend much on subside.
