The banking and financial sector can still survive because they don't dominate that. Education and health are alive not because of govt funding but reasonable southerners bring a their token of commonsensical judgement and public work wthics to those sectors.
Are they also in charge of CBN?

I was just stating this fact a while back NNPC that can not refurbish 3 refineries under it must not be the sole buyer of Dangote refined product. In fact NNPC must be barred from patronizing Dangote at all.

NNPC must be force to fix it own refineries the GM sacked with immediate effect and each and 3very perosn that as every worked there from management to the security sacked never to be employed by any federal institution.

Front0lane:
This is where I expect Sowore to lead a protest NNPC must be force to maintain the prices it had when it as to import which is generally more expensive or even reduce the price n not increase. Dollar rate as not changed significantly so where is the increase in fuel prices coming from.

This is the agitation the opposition should be leading but they are too foolish to comprehend it. Arise Wasobia Nigeria info etc this should be their vocal point till NNPC accede to this demand but their noise is never genuine so they won't even discuss it.

The chief duty of the NNPC is to monitor the joint venture partners as representative of the owner of the oil. How can a private company do this better than a national company?. A small oil producing nation like Norway has not privatized its oil company.

If you sell NNPC, you will still need a new NNPC to oversee the privatized NNPC. What you can sell are companies like the refineries and etc.

Re: Scarcity: NNPC Constitutes Economic Danger, Sell It - Punch Editorial by Lanruze:
The renowned Petroleum Economist - Bala Zakka made a conscious effort running from one TV Station to another warning PBAT on the ultimate consequence of "total" removal of subsidy.

PBAT was arrogant and believed that he knew it all.

Words like " the pain of a pregnant woman trying to give birth" , turning the corner, the light at the end of the tunnel" were common words used in deceiving gullible Nigerians on the benefits of subsidy removal.

It's now obvious that the NNPC was actually earning more money and distributed through FAAC because of the devaluation of the Naira.

Petro-Dollars was exchanged for more naira as the devalued naira became weaker and there was more Naira for onward FAAC distribution.

PBAT as Minister of Petroleum with NNPC directly under his purview should asses his own performance as a Minister.

Corruption

It’s obvious the devil lives in people’s hearts. After eating and eating and eating, at least , get tired and feel the pains of others at your mercy. But unfortunately, certain people eat and eat and keep for their descendants to the 10th generation whom they will never meet while multitudes are suffering.

Nigeria has so many bad people, only few can pass integrity test and you'll discover that the ones with integrity aren't so religious or not religious atal.

Same way Nigerians killed Eleme Petrochemical Complex in Rivers State till the facility was leased to an Indian man who is doing big things there now.
It's not as if it's foreigners that are in that NNPC, it's Nigerians like us who care less about how others live, so far they keep the organization as cesspit of corruption where they feed fat, they don't care.

Something really has to be done before the hardened criminals there will turn Nigeria to a failed State.

Nigerians will not do anything. There will be no revolution against the governing class. Instead there will be inter-tribal conflict and likely pogroms as is already happening in the North and Middle Belt.

Nigerians won't do jack, they love their country exactly the way it is.

Good Luck to Nigeria.
