COMRADES, irrespective of the xenophobia attacks, discrimination of Nigerians, and the most recent Adetshina's saga, let's forgive them they are our brothers, and not our enemies. How can Nigeria comes to their rescue in this case diplomatically? Because, as of today, South Africa is the most unequal country in the whole world!

72% If so, then, there's an improvement. It was once 93%.It started with the Native Land Act (NLA) of 1913 that restricted black people's land ownership to only 7%. After apartheid, efforts have been made to reverse the trend but the wealthy and also more intelligent white land owners use legislation to resist the attempt to redistribute land. The actual reason behind it, in my view is mental laziness coupled with a lack of political will on the part of black South Africans. Otherwise, efficient legislation backed by good jurisprudence and advocacy, would have helped. Another way is for black South Africans to get more economically creative and resourceful. This option would lead to them buying back a significant portion of the landed property. For example, look at USA, the Beverly Hills entrepreneurs own huge portions of the US real estate, but most of them are not from originally land-holding families. But how can black South Africans go any of these paths when they prefer to spend that mental energy to fuel hatred for successful people - which is the real reason for their hatred for Nigerians. Recall when Lucky Dube was shot near his SUV after taking his kid to school. The killers were arrested and their plea was "we thought he was a Nigerian" and the South African public seemed okay with it, which forced the then Nigerian High Commissioner (Marwa) to address a press conference, reminding them of how much Nigeria helped them during apartheid. And, are you talking about Nigeria helping them again? Poor people generally think that hating on the rich people helps them when it actually gets them to sink further. |

The SA were hardly farmers historically but cattle herders like the Fulani's, they usually bought food from other tribes towards modern Zimbabwe etc,the whites came as farmers,so were able to possess enough lands before the blacks knew what hit them.that is the crux of the matter ,no one bothers to consider |

babasolution:This is unjustifiable and unacceptable, you're talking about pre independent era or ancient times, during that era, some lands in Nigeria, were as well owned by the whites, but can the whites come and reclaim ownership of those lands in modern Nigeria again? |

The moment you reverse this Statistics Omo SA will be worse than Zimbabwe.... Just like when the Igbos were excised from critical sectors in Nigeria by conspirators alliance between SW & North.... Education took a nosedive, maintenance kaput, and others were simply on oxygen. But, guess what, in the private endeavors of the Igbos such as Motor Parts and others, them no fit break in, even though na them dey control Ports activities ever since! Black SA better just leave these statistics like these..... ![]() |

The black race is generally lazy and unproductive. In Neighbouring Zimbabwe where Mugabe forcefully ejected the white farmers from swathes of land, they are still struggling to fully utilize those lands and in fact it is Chinese who are even helping them attain the moderate level of utilisation they have right now. Imagine if the intl oil companies desert Nigeria so Nigerians can takeover, how prepared are we to produce our oil. How skilled and knowledgeable are we? Saying white farmers, who are 8%, own 72% of farms but not quoting the willingness of blacks to embrace agriculture, a medium/long term venture is wrong. Blacks like the fire brigade approach to issues and prefer to hammer all of sudden than to strategically work their way into wealth. |

Melagros:SA under black leadership did no go the Zimbabwe way,of appropriating the lands into black hands, whether it was the right way to go remains to be seen.it's the policy of the ANC which was based on the philosophy of Nelson Mandela. Maybe until they have another black party in power before reforms like that can be done.but my point is blacks not having land is not really due to the weakness or stupidity of the SA blacks but due to history and current leading political philosophy |

Don't Igbos own 70% of the land in Abuja and Lagos? Does that mean Yoruba and Northerners are lazy? No. So stop this nonsense.

babasolution:With due respect to you 🙏, you appear to manifest an extremely twisted mindset here. Looking at the bolded line for example: 1. So, you have a RIGHT TO HATE someone just for being a foreigner? You actually frightened me with that thinking! 2. So, if I help you and some other person also helped you, then, I deserve no appreciation or respect from you, JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE ALSO HELPED YOU? Chai! Some of the mindsets destroying Nigeria are really obvious here. |
