Mine was at Immigration Office Ikoyi. I arrived at around some minutes past 11am. I signed in at the gate before entering. The place was crowded, but they had enough officers on ground to handle the tasks. The officers were friendly and efficient. I met one who directed to an office where fresh applicants were tended. I met an officer on ground who scrutinized my documents and requested for the photocopies of my original birth certificate and letter of identification. I did the photo copy as requested and stapled them together with the appointment letter, the online receipt and my application form.
My documents were cleared and I proceeded to the capturing room. Everything was smooth and swift, was through before 2pm.

I noticed some applicants had issues with their uploaded passport and didn’t get captured as a result of that. My advice for anyone applying is to make sure their passport photograph is as clear as possible. Avoid uploading blurry photos and ensure you go with your original documents on the day of capture.

Other docs like LG identification and birth certificate, how many copies did you need
Also, did you take your NIN (did they ask for identification and passport photographs )

Take along your appointment slip and all the required documents.

Nigeria Immigration Service is introducing a premium service option for applicants who wish to fast-track their passport applications. So, your Nigerian passport should be ready within 24-72 hours. Contact NIS to learn more.

I doubt tipping the officers would give you the desired result(s).

One copy of your application page, online payment receipt and appointment page is enough.

No color requirements for the documents.

You need the original copies of your birth certificate and identification letter and corresponding photo copies (just one copy each)

They didn’t ask for NIN.

Then go with your passport photographs incase they request for it to be attached to the form.

Yes, it's possible for you to reapply since you haven't captured or enrolled. The initial passport application fee is nonrefundable.

Ogafarmer001, as long as you have not gone for biometric you can cancel your application at any moment and reapply at a later date. However, the fee paid (if any) will not be refunded.

Please have you seen your approval mail? And is there anyone here that didn't see the approval mail and was able to do the capturing?
I don't want to waste my T-fare. The immigration office is far to my place

Yes, you can go for biometric at a later date but not after six months.

You may start your passport renewal application when your passport has one month expiration...

Yes you can. NIS actually ecourages applicants to start the process early.

You probably need to validate you NIN. Download the NIN app and do it.

Travelling is not 100% sure. After obtaining a visa, a person can be denied entry at the airport. Inadmissibility affects many people.

I just got my approval email. Took exactly a week from submission. Submitted August 30 and approval mail came this evening

Based on the upward review of the fees for the Nigerian passport effective from 1st September 2024, 32-page Passport booklet with 5 year validity previously charged at thirty-five thousand naira (₦35,000) is now fifty thousand naira (₦50,000) only; while 64-page passport booklet with 10 year validity which was seventy thousand naira (N70,000) is now one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) only.
