*Petrol marketers will be able to buy products from the plant

*State-owned oil company NNPC has been the sole price setter

Nigeria is considering allowing billionaire Aliko Dangote’s refinery to set the price of the gasoline it sells, people with knowledge of the matter said, a move that’s poised to refashion the government’s control over what customers pay for fuel.

Until now, Africa’s largest oil producer has imported all of its gasoline and subsidized the price at a hefty annual cost. But in a major change, Dangote’s massive plant near the commercial hub Lagos is starting to locally refine gasoline.

Why are things in Nigeria always the more you look, the less you see.
Today FEC will determine the price, tomorrow NNPCL "whatever that means" will set the price,then the next thing you hear is Dangote will fix the price.

Funny enough they know what they want to do because i can swear to the fact that all the parties mentioned above are in constant communication amongst themselves. Or how do we explained the recent hike in petrol price, everyone is denying it but the price still stands.
But fellow Nigerians i believe that one day "monkey go go market but e no go return back"

One litre of gasoline from Dangote refinery is #250 but NNPC and those stupid marketers are frustrating Dangote price already. We need to fight all this self centered and greedy billionaires. Enough is enough and it is now or never.

Hope it brings the price down...the crude oil oligarchs will frustrated this effort, it is conduit pipe to siphoning Nigeria's wealth for ages

They wont obviously. Bloomberg like most foreign media are just making assumptions. Even they have no clue what's going on, but irrespective, NNPC are fighting seriously to control the Dangote refinery prices because they just lost a major pipeline of endless funds with the stoppage of petrol importation
