I moved into were am currently staying in 2022 and have seen a small girl suffered abuse alot.

Despite having water running 24/7 in the compound the girl fetch water everyday, she run errands, bath and prepare her uncle 2 son for school and go drop them off.
A girl of 9yrs will do all this with no proper meal, she has no clothes, only wear rags, bruises all over her body
Sometime late last year I got a school bag for free and decided to gift the girl cos she carry polythene bag to school. The next day her uncle approached me, he first thanked me and ended it with I should have given it to the wife directly instead of the girl, I told him he know me and his wife aren't cool at all hence why I didn't do that.
He told me I should have given him instead, ok no wahala.
Guess what this woman didn't allow the girl use the school bag rather her first son was using it and the girl kept carrying polythene bag to school.

Matter at hand.

Yesterday I was off work, after doing some housework I decided to take a nap around 2.....voice of loud cry and scream woke me up about 20min later.
This woman was beating the girl as usual, this kept going on for 30min and I couldn't sleep.
About 50min later I couldn't take it anymore so I went to her apartment to warn habout the noise , after I got back inside my apartment she increased the beating accusing the girl of attracting disrespect to her.

I called the husband he didn't pick, then I called my landlord and explained things to him. I let him know I will get the police and welfare involved.
With annoyance he called the husband to park out since they are even owning him a year rent already.

This morning the man came to my apartment accusing me of hatred towards his family and his wife was raining insult on me.
I just asked him to pay me 20k he is owing me since last year May and the outstanding fee for pre-paid have been loading from February till now.

Am about going to the station to report him and his wife, getting the welfare Involved. My landlord is in full support.
Note- the girl is the man sister daughter, she is in the village

Since the landlord is now involved, kindly report to the police station or the nearest welfare office. If you're in Lagos, there's a particular agency responsible for such case located at police stations.

Best is to get the welfare involved first since the landlord is involved already.
If they were kind to the child maybe things could have been different for them. And yeah collect your 20k before they move out

Don't have kids you CANNOT take care of by YOURSELF. Kids are HELPLESS and unable to FEND for or DEFEND themselves. It makes them prime PREYS to wicked PREDATORS who masquerade as people.

That's why they NEED their parents to be THERE and act like PARENTS. Not to farm them out to relatives who'll BEAT, abuse and RAPE them.

A 9-year old, probably been with the wicked family since she was 7/8, has NO business acting as a HOUSEGIRL and taking care of TWO other children when she's still a child herself.

Parents should ONLY have kids they can KEEP with them and give a DECENT life. There are TONS of contraceptives that even an ILLITERATE could use conveniently. You DON'T have to pop out kids you CANNOT afford everytime you have sex.

If i give my stance on this most people will call me tribalist. But this kind of abuse is common among Southern mothers

The reason I advised that you should contact these people is that they've got lawyers, psychological counsellors and other professionals that are needed to tackle this case. They are backed by the Lagos State Government and they know how to make the police do their work. They can also provide shelter for the woman and the child if the need arises. They are your best bet.

Contact them. They also take quick action against child abuse.

imagine this refurbish fool and his foolish utterance.

May life not happen to us to the stage whereby we need send our kids to stay with anyone

Such nonsense happened where i lived 7yrs ago and i calmly took care of the situation and till tomorrow i have not mentioned it to anybody. It was pathetic and heart rending the kind of abuse that little boy suffered. I secretly found out from the little boy where his parents where staying,i took the boy's pics and traveled to his village , showed them everything. They quickly paid an unscheduled visit where they witnessed with horror what their child who they promised will go to school was at home doing chores without food even as at 2pm.
They quietly took took their child away without mentioning my involvement.
Some people are just too wicked to be called humans.
