Goodluck jonathan will win any election in nigeria presently. Peter obi should step down for him

But i doubt if he will make any meaningful change. He was and is part of the problem..

So, no solution in sight. We will all keep crying here in hell grin grin
Someone that was muscled out of power even as the incumbent president. He's already lost his liver and I'm quite certain he wont contest for any public seat in his lifetime.

Buhari and co were very brutal in the 2015 election battle, jonah is a bit soft in my opinion.

APC need another brutal opponent party to give them a taste of their own medicine just like they did to pdp. PDP can never be up to such task let alone labour party.

Those that were not part of the problem has almost caused Nigerians their lives. I wonder how most of you think. Let's say he's part of the problem, does that stop your saint APC from correcting the supposed problem?

Nigerians don't truly like good people.

Stop the blame game and get to work. Buhari blamed PDP for 8 good years. Now the journey of blame continues with this direction less administration

May nature help us all

Better shut up your mouth. Did Jonathan improve the economy that he inherited from Obasanjo or do you think weve all forgotten? Naira dropped, things got more expensive and we piled more debts. All these easterners should stop insulting the sensibilities of Nigerians abeg
actually yes. you had the highest per capita GDP in GEJ at 3201 USD per capita
the only other president to boost our GDP like GEJ was actually Shagari

our inflation rate also consistently reduced during GEJ era. We were able to achieve single digit inflation.
Nigeria enjoyed low inflation rates in the first years of the Obasanjo era but this worsened in his 2nd term

Obasanjo took fuel from 20 - 75 - 275% increase
Yaradua from 75 - 65 - 13% decrease
GEJ from 65 - 87 - 33% increase
Tinubu from 195 - 1000 - 412% increase

The problem we have in this country during elections is the south west. They careless about personality and integrity but promotes tribalism and sectionalism. The south south and south east are more concerned about the quality of the president but the west aligns themselves with the north who from all statistics has wrecked this country all because of selfishness

Before you attack me, I speak love Yoruba's and they are my inlaws so my view is not biased.
Re: This Is What Goodluck Jonathan Said Before The 2015 Election. by emmayoc: 1:05pm On Sep 06, 2024
If the south west removed tribalism and selfishness during the last election today, Osibanjo or Peter Obi would have been president. So south west need to do more in helping us go forward

Goodluck Jonathan has done his bit and left the scene. None should drag him back to any election contest in Nigeria.

Your choice of words clearly showed that you really don't believe in freedom of association, the right of individuals to choose whom they prefer to lead them.
To lead is not by force and that's what democracy is all about. If Jonathan was meeting the needs and aspirations of Nigerians at the time, they would have reelected him again. After all, the same Nigerians elected in 2011

So, Osinbajo is not a Yoruba man?
And concerning Obi, he got major from his tribesmen and his region. You guys didn't vote for Tinubu or Atiku and you didn't let those who wanted to vote them get near the ballot boxes.
Tinubu's vote came from the five regions with the exception of your region, so what are you yapping about Yorubas?

Of course, GEJ will be the last person to accept contesting again for Nigeria's presidency. I love the way he just left the stage. He gave us a choice. But we choose the change we're "enjoying" today.

In 2023, we had yet again another grace to move out of the woods but because of deep seated hatred and an age long prejudice handed over to us, we rejected that golden chance. The major issue with the Peter Obi presidency is because most of those milking this country will definitely lose grip, they resort to tribalism and bigotry smeared with the Biafran agenda.

By 2027 when the doors will be presented again, I wish we continue in the change agenda.
The same Obi who was recorded live playing religion card underground or another Obi?

The Igbos have always been right about this crazy country but our hatred for them makes us make the wrongest of the wrong choices. The Igbos supported Obasanjo, and his government did quite well except for his third-term agenda. They also supported Yar Adua and Jonathan, and they did perform slightly above average. When the devil in chief, Buhari took over against the warning by Igbos, he plunged the country into an abyss, and the drug lord came in once again against the advice of these same Igbos, promising to continue where Buhari stopped and he is doing just that. Many people cannot see that it is this country's hatred for the Igbos that is making this country sink lower and lower and it will continue to be so till we decide to see the light and know who our real enemies are.

Nigeria under Gej was experiencing so much progress that nigerians didn't even know .
Imagine the world experienced two economic melt down and nigerians didn't feel it or knew what it was.

But here we are, the world moving forward but Nigeria moving backwards with hardship.
People now die of hunger.
Unheard of before
you know the worst part Nigerians are not likely to learn the lessons this presents
Namely its not every one you can hand over the presidency to
Electoral choices have consequences
A shaddy character should be far from governance ,if he success he will only use power for himself

Some people feel the need to comment on every topic - even the ones that they should skip.

What a dumb response.

"It could have been worse"

Common sense should tell anyone that a person who cooks an omelette with rotten eggs can NEVER make a better tasting one than another who cooks with fresh eggs.

APC as a political party are rotten to the core. They have no redeemable quality about them. Power was sought strictly for personal power and riches. That itself isn't new but they differ because APC have a mandate to destroy the populace and by weaponising poverty they will be able to rule Nigeria in perpetuity.

Anybody who says that Man U would have fallen to where they are now if Ferguson had remained is daft.

An average leader will ALWAYS outperform a horrible leader. Goodluck was an average leader (one with a good heart but weak will) while Buhari and Tinubu are horrible leaders(both have wicked hearts and strong wills)

Things in Nigeria haven't gotten bad yet.

We are still at the beginning.

Word....!!
Advice: scram from Nigeria is you have the means now. Or move your family out. Nigeria can never get better.

AutoManual:
Jonathan would be very foolish to accept presidential offer. Even if he accepts there can not be anything to be expected with the level of damage going on.

What saddens my heart is that people are quite and keeping calm with all the damage going on.

Remove oil from Nigeria economy and the country is finished. Check the wastage in abuja and governors you will know Nigeria has no future outside oil.
Nigeria will breakup without a fight when the time is ripe but it would happen at a time of abject poverty and sorrow. By then it will be so difficult fir every component to forge ahead with no money and help. Only industrialization and technology can change the game with this modern era since agriculture is just secondary.

Countries that control the world today are industrialization and technology, entertainment, education and tourism. Agriculture comes last.

We are no where to be found. If not for Nigerians outside the country contributing via remittence Nigeria would have long gone.

but it wouldn’t be long.
