He made no point. Nigeria major problem is corruption. Did he tell you that a senator in a European country does not own fleet of cars. Did he tell you a governor in U.S will not dip his hand in the state's treasury to sponsor election. He said none of that
So because your leaders steal that's why you should also steal from the land by under paying for what the land has given you.

cheesy
Those minnows in the comment section actually thought Reno was speaking against Tinubu, meanwhile Man was tryna give bigger reasons as to why we really have to tow the route

Those two guys above me actually thought same too

Education isnt really a scam in the end
Reno’s current bankroller and other governors know that education is a scam.

Proof?

Is anyone of the 150 governors making education free for all children in well equipped and staffed primary, vocational and secondary schools huh

Its only half educated people or fellow dimwits that will equate the incoherence and zero fact based nonsense the buffon wrote as reasonable, talk more of calling it "intelligent"

A simple fact check of the first point is enough to know that this was a paid support advert for the current administration. Suggeting that Ironsi appropriated or seized the assets/funds of citizens for the government is enough to discard the gibberish he wrote as factless rather than bother to read the rest of the rubbish( i stopped at that point, no point.) There was nothing of such. Only retards will listen, talk more of bekieving all the rubbish he wrote. His IQ is terribly low, just like his promoters.

Not that i thought the Omokri guy was in anyway intelligent or credible to get me to read his posts(i often ignore anything about or from him), and I know he is now a public image laundering contractor for the government, i juts stumbled on this piece out of boredom

...and I am neither an IPOB, nor an obidient(in fact, i detest that name), neither do i think Atiku has what it takes to govern effectively. I am from SW and believe this government is the worst Nigeria has ever had. Wait till next few months and see

DeLaRue:
Finally an intelligent thesis that mirrors what I have been saying all this while on Nairaland.

Any Presidential candidate that promises you things will be honky dory under him and petrol will be cheap, electricity will be constant, prices of goods will suddenly be cheap is living in cloud coockoo land.

You can not keep borrowing to live a middle class lifestyle when you are on minimum wage. Eventually your debts will catch up with you and you will go bankrupt and lose everything.

Over the past decades, Nigerian governments spent more than the country was earning, subsidising this and that, in order to keep the people happy. Those past Presidents feared being unpopular and so gave people what they wanted knowing fully well it was financial poison that future generations will pay for dearly.

Nigerians have got used to things being artificially cheap due to subsidy (education, petrol, electricity etc) that when a new President comes in and say the country will head for the rocks unless we change things now, Nigerians say he is the worst President ever.

Niger Republic, Ghana, and other neighbouring countries buy petrol at around N1300 per litre. But Nigerians want it at N300 or less huh

Given that both Ghana and Niger Republic also produce crude oil, what is so unique about Nigerians that makes Nigerians feel so entitled to super cheap petrol?

Unfortunately 99% of Nigerians, including the educated ones, just don't understand economics at the level of a currently poor country like Nigeria.

Thîefnubu's emergence as President really exposed so many idiots and classless people with no shame or honor in Nigeria.

No wonder Nigeria is losing every atom of respect it once enjoyed in the comity of nations, it's a shame these senseless charlatans like Reno Omockery represent Nigerians and identifies as a Nigerian outside Nigeria, sighs

Nigerians are still struggling to grapple with the fact that Nigeria is a VERY POOR country. Only Oil cannot sustain the entire country. Nigerians are also quite lazy. Many cannot survive the hustle and bustle of western economies.

At least someone with common sense at last. See how he conveniently left out the major problem which is corruption. Even if people pay 90% tax, the money will be stolen as usual.

Reno, you make some valid points.
what point,Reno problem is that he believe he is clever ..

The germany reno mentioned, can he compared the infrastructure on ground and govt reforms to Nigeria. In developed countries as govt is taking taxes from you @least you see a good use of it, subsidize health sector, education, food and palliative measures are in place.

In Nigeria, what can reno pinpoint Nigerians are benefiting from the Govt, as a citizen you provide almost everything you need for yourself. the only thing Nigerians enjoyed from govt was subsidy and Tinubu under 1yr took out every subsidy. why should Nigerian be willling to pay taxes they know politicians will loot
Reno mentioned loan, all the loans govt have taken does it conmensurate whats on ground, can germany govt take loan and dare to loot

its very normal for people to be relunctant to make thrift in the hands of thieves

Well here is my fact to counter Reno. Oil isn't our only natural resource like Saudi Arabia and Qatar that he mentioned. So what happened to exploring the other natural resources that we have. We have abundant fertile land for agriculture, what happened to the option of becoming an agricultural export power house in sub Saharan region? Our biggest mistake/error was relying solely on crude export. Nigeria did well before oil was discovered

Who is this guy, are you a stranger in this country 9ja?
Nigerians buy and repair power transformers and electric poles. Nigerians dig their sewage systems, practically every household provide its water sources. Road constructions are sometimes done by communities and sometimes individuals. You pay the police before you are allowed to report crime. you provide power for your business. And some how, you want Nigerians to pay equal amount of tax Germans pay. How about you advocate for Nigerians to get the benefit accrued to Germans for the tax they pay.

I know you're reading this Reno.

Now, I find it very very odd that you failed, even once to mention corruption in our political leadership and how holding corrupt ofgice holders accountable and stamping out corruption is the best and simplest solution to Nigeria's perennial fuel problem.

Nigeria's current fuel problems are 100% as a result of corruption. Corruption at the highest levels of power ,corruption in the petroleum ministry, corruption at the management of the refineries, mind boggling corruption at NNPC.
If there was no systemic and institutionalized corruption from Aso Rock to the Refineries and to the petrol stations, we would have no need to import fuel and no talk of fuel subsidies.

But just like the political jobber and hatchet man that you are, you are indirectly blaming the victims of corrupt governance for mess they are in.

What stupid facts has he stated? Same govt that criticised fuel subsidy removal with huge protest at ojota here in Lagos is the same govt that brought the same subsidy removal even before sitting in the govt house and one goat with white beards saying jargons ... Or better still, counter my own post, rather than jumping on my mention to spew thrash.

All this long English you wrote is useless as far as you conveniently ignore the key problem which is endemic corruption. Solve the corruption issue and 99% of the country's problem is gone. The taxes, borrowing and oil sales are funding the luxurious lifestyle of these politicians
