The Benue State Government has sealed Oracle Business Limited and its subsidiaries over allegations of tax evasion amounting to N130 million, reportedly owed over the past five years, News360 Nigeria reports.

During a press briefing, Sunday Odagba, the acting Executive Chairman of the Benue State Board of Internal Revenue, emphasized that the enforcement was part of an effort to recover taxes from corporate entities owing the state.

Odagba also dismissed claims of political persecution by Oracle Business Limited, which alleged that the tax liability was previously reviewed to N38 million, a sum it claims to have paid.

The company, owned by former Governor Samuel Ortom, has maintained that its closure was politically motivated.

However, state tax officials clarified that the company had not settled its full tax obligations and had failed to meet for reconciliation despite multiple invitations.

I wish this same government can remember the people of Okpute of Oju LGA and Bonta of konshisha LG. They've been communal clash for months there and people around there has been on perpetual fear, everything including schools has been closed cuz of small issue of land that the state government can easily cease of put a demarcation. Yes father, please use your God fearing mind to remember the igede people. They seriously need help

What further proofs do we need....that our politicians are businessmen and women, using politics to siphon funds into their companies? Voters get wisdom. One of his mates built one of the best private universities in Ghana. He was former governor in our zone. The masses own those funds they stole and the same are the deceived, every 4 years. Be wise!

they have community chiefs, counsellors, chairmen and other grassroot political structures that can handle that. Very soon we will start calling the governor to solve marital issues in our various homes.
