If you are smart at what you intend to do, you should have compared Cardoso with Charles Soludo who no doubt did a very good job during his tenor as CBN Governor.
Our current fiscal problems started with Emefiele as CBN Governor since the period of GEJ.

CBN has responsibility to manage Nigeria Monetary policies which will significantly affect the money supply and hence the value of Naira. We have had an extremely poor thinkers handling our monetary policies since the exit of Charles Soludo

Dangote is already the biggest exporter outside the oil sector with his fertilizer company beside the Refinery. He export fertilizer to Brazil and USA significantly. Currently the biggest buyer of his aviation fuel is Europe. With the production of Petrol from the Refinery, he will further increase his share of that sector.
BUA currently produce and sell locally and if Dangote can get into export market he can. Now this is where it gets interesting,
Dangote has cried out that increasing MPR to 26.75% in July 2024 will mean Banks Lending rate will be as high as 37.75% at the minimum. Which business can access do business and make profits at such rate? It also make Nigeria products less competitive in the international market.
Currently Nigeria need to reform the export protocol. Minimum of about 15 agencies will need to interact with you before you can successfully export your product (I'm talking from first hand experience). Customs needs to be reformed and a special window created for export business. There are so much to do.
On our crude, Nigeria's OPEC quota is 2.2million bpd and we are currently doing 1.3million bpd until recently it was below 1million under Buhari. Stop crude theft, you in Government, you have the power, just stop it and remove impediments and we will have more sales, more dollar and less pressure on Naira.

Everybody knows that, that Cardoso of a guy was only appointed & retain despite his glaring failure is because he's a Yoruba man. Besides tinubu hates appointing competent people.

I have always stood that emefiele took all the right calls... But the delay in implementation was what killed their policy

They had at least an understanding of the basic problem.. Knew what to do but approve to implement was delayed over and over

And economics policy are always time sensitive, what would work yesterday won't work today

Buhari was advised to devalue the naira to 370 in 2015 ... He refused by the time he accepted true value of the naira has moved to 700 ish and confidence was low so it didn't work
