Suspected kidnappers have killed a businessman identified as Sunny Taxman, after reportedly collecting N10m ransom.

The Deceased hailed from Alor Agu in Igbo Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State but was based in Onitsha, Anambra State.

Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report.

"They kidnapped him, demanded for ransom. 10 million Naira was paid to the kidnappers... Still they killed him. Rest in peace Sunny Taxman," Enugu media personality, Sen Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, September 9.

THIS KIDNAPPING THING STARTED IN EVANS TIME he got caught and people found out how lucrative kidnapping can be and then all hell broke loose.. we should sentence kidnappers to death by either publicly hanging them and televising it or shoot them on sight . Nigerian country are not taking this insecurity issue seriously , things will get worse and out of hand in the coming years . i only pity the average Nigerian.

Someone who knows him or related to him was involved. This is why you should never look an armed robber or kidnapper straight in the face, long enough to establish his personality.

They killed a friend like this few years ago because he recognised one of them as his neighbour.

Why would you collect and still kill him? May be he knew one or two persons that kidnapped him.
