At that time, they were strictly kidnapping white men, specifically those oil workers. When they could no longer kidnap white men, they now turned on their own countrymen. Before you know it, kidnapping became a business and quickly spread to every part of the country.

Then u were not born when kidnapping for ransome started in Rivers,Bayelsa and Delta.
First,it was oil workers in Niger Delta,later political kidnapping started and today,it has become a norm.

Even if they pay the kidnapper's the ransom money, they will still kill their victims and harvest their organs.
The entire NIGERIA is unsafe to dwell.

The military and police won't attack the above menace but Journalists on their rightful duties are their nightmare including activist.

They killed a friend like this few years ago because he recognised one of them as his neighbour.

yes but then it wasn't as rampage as it is now. kidnapping became more aggressive from my observation after evans was caught and his wealth were made known to the public eyes, they saw his mansion . cars . and heard the amount he made from it. that alone triggered the uprising of kidnapping in these modern times, you are talking about old kidnappings . this is new stuff . do you agree they should be shot or hanged??

Did he spill the beans before he was killed or how did people get to know he recognized his neighbor. Was the neighbor caught and that was how the cat was let out to the public. Your advice is very true.

Actually, the neighbour was the one who organised the kidnap. Very ruthless being. He has been helping him out this particular neighbor and all that, but the neighbour wanted more. He organised his gang and the gang kidnapped him.

They held him for a long time expecting much payment, but the payments were coming in piecemeal as his family ran around to get the cash. One day, as the neighbour came to collect his share from some payments, the kidnappers either forgot to hide him away from my friend.

Somehow they saw each other. Fearing he will take action after release, they collected the available ransom and"planked" him to death. He was in his 30s with a young family. Only son
