I wonder why Governor's of states that are prone to flood do not take proactive measure to minimize the disasters that accompanies flooding after heavy rainfall forecast made by NiMet.

Development Control should allow people to build houses on on top of drainage channels and flood prone areas.. The drainages, gutters and manholes should be cleared of debris and waste materials for easy floor of runoff in the event of heavy rainfall. We should ensure that waste such as plastic bottles, water proof, etc are not dumped in water drainages channels inoder to prevent floods from occuring during heavy falls
