Check in next 5-10 years, e no go pass 5 or 10% of this board wey go don japa within that time frame, and it's not just cause of financial constraints sef.
Not everyone will make it, that's the fact of life.

If you enter newspaper stand today you will see people telling you this and that succesful man was my friend or classmate at some time

Even in America there are likely to be classmates of the president who are living in poverty.

Opportunity you see today might not be there tomorrow

I see japa as an opportunity if you don't see it as same it's fine. Some didn't japa and are richer than everyone abroad in their circle of friends

Lol, and how many of us here you think would be able to afford japa or would be convenient for them to? Saying people should japa, what's exactly unique to that advice...I mean practically all Nigerian's resident in Nigeria are here because they haven't figured out their japa or they just can't...abi if Dayo no tell you make you reason japa e no go enter your mind? grin
You saying a lot of things that was never related to what the post was about.

In my opinion, Dayo says a lot of things. And i said as much as he trolls us with Tinubu, he also admits that Nigeria has failed and we should leave.

So which one are you asking me what is unique about japa, and if i haven't thought about it before?

The context was that he admits Nigeria cannot work. Abi you didn't read that part there?

Easy oh, abeg.

Egbon Dayo just be lying and saying ridiculous things in order to defend APC.

🤨🤨
He's just catching cruise from what I've seen. He's actually not a bad person, he's just an APC lover to a fault. He has said it over a thousand times for those that care to listen that he hates anything related to PDP , its offshoot and any other party that stands as opposition to APC.

You should not expect much objectivity from him when APC is the at the center stage of any discussion. Like u rightly said, he will say anything to defend APC even in the face of glaring facts.

The people I pity are the people we are all here in this country together experiencing APC's misgovernance and still defending and supporting APC with him.

Loool bro this is not a locked group.

We have conversations here knowing alot of people will read and digest it.
What was said yesterday wasn't an inhouse thing.
That was insulting to people who have worked hard to get to the top of their careers only for the value of their hardwork to be destroyed by apc and this tolotolo is justifying it.
How does that translate to japa?
Okay oh.

Because i no come understand if you even understood what i replied to.

That was the same thing that turned them to prayer warrior a la "This adminsitration will favor me and my family In Jesus Name "

There have been massive education on family planning long ago, the 80s and 90s were all about it yet many people due to their culture and religion will not follow it.

In 1980 Nigerian population was about 60m. 45yrs later it has quadrupled. Which other country in the world has increased at that rate and is a developed nation.

Raw materials like what exactly do we have in abundance? BTW na something go convert raw materials into finished product. Some of the infrastructure and technologies in other countries have been there for over 100yrs when Nigeria never even start,
Sometimes when I Watch the weapons that were used for the world wars that's about 100yrs ago and think about it that Nigeria can't even manufacture some of those weaponry of 100yrs ago today. You will realize how far back we are
The country is probably forked, but until it gets to that point where the country becomes a truly failed state, we need keep trying to have the best of the political lot in offices, who knows, it just might turn the corner.

Japa is an opportunity, but a lot of persons won't japa and it's not cause they don't have that desire, that's my point.

Nigeria has failed before we were born. Has there ever been a period of prosperity we can look back to and say we really enjoyed? Maybe 60s and 70s before most of us were born

For those who remember "Andrew wan check out" adverts is about 40yrs old

I saw someone post this song on his status recently a song from Victor Olaiya complaining about how bad the country is and I am sure its over 30yrs

Every 5yrs we have a new music of how bad things are

If Ras Kimono is not singing "Under pressure, no food in our belly", Eedris is singing Jagajaga, African China is singing Food e no dey. That is over 40yrs documented evidence of suffering and it gets increasingly worse and about 10 different administrations maybe it's just not meant to work

Maybe you are more hopeful and positive but from my end, this 80yrs to live and half of it already spent suffering. Time to write it off

The japa message is not for everyone, it's for those who probably can fit into some japa opportunities but are still thinking about it or having double minds

Some people dey Naija wey dem no fit convince them to japa. One of my friends from University is one of them and he just bought a 400m Naira house on the Island. Almost every year he traveks out for pleasure like 5 times. He believes Naija is the place for him

Do you think I bother him to japa or even talk to him.about it

Maybe because I neva japa sha, na why I still get hope and I want to imagine for many resident in the country, there's still that little hope that things turn the corner...after all barely 10 years ago things were not as bad, but today it's something else entirely.

Not me.

But this one about someone working hard and then been told that the value of your hardwork has vanished and this new value is your actual worth. Even going far to claim it's because you are in a career field without demand😂😂.

But the feeling of anger is the feeling of anger regardless, it's probably not in your nature to generally react to issues with insult...for some persons it's different, and it's possible they might even have been less angry about the situation than you were.

I wish you luck, and while hoping the country gets better, get options open just in case it doesn't cos From my own lens. It doesn't look good. Many countries all over the world are groaning and steadily getting worse, Central America now almost every month a caravan of people who gave up and trekking thousand of miles to japa to US, parents put their teenage daughters on birth control and push her to that journey cos they know the chances of being raped is high but so they dont get pregnant in the course. I recently spoke to a guy from Honduras and was telling me he's saving $16k to pay for his daughter to be smuggled to the US. Crisis in middle east is making many people japa to Europe, Europeans srf dey complain. will Nigeria be one of the few exceptions? I dunno

Every 5 yrs we look back to the preceding 5yrs that if only we could go back 5yrs ago. If that trend continues and sometime in 2035 we are looking back to the good old days of 2024... well miracles fit happen sha

I don't even understand what's he's on about.

How have you taken his comments out of context? If his "japa" message is exclusively for the people in this group, first: is it everyone in this thread that can afford it?

If relocating is not going to solve the problem for everyone or make the country relatively better, then it's a stupid advice in the grand scheme of things.

I don't know why he's now trying to police people's reactions to Ram's comment or saying you shouldn't put side by side everything else he's been saying to judge together.

Since japa will not fix the problem for everyone, why is he still suggesting it as if it's going to be some soothing balm or band-aid? I mean, if I needed to japa, and I have the means to, nor be person for NL go dey tell me. He's not saying anything "special", just as Flint said.

And if you still continue to address the suggestion, even three days after, you have not done any wrong.
