ddippset:It is obvious there are no saint in this election; all parties will deplaoy their machineries to win the election. It's only innocent people that will be caught in the middle I pity. |

Amigoss:A man who we thought was against godfatherism is now one. Abi is Obaseki not the one that ensured Shuaibu did not contest in the primaries? Now see what a governor; A sitting governor is saying, and we dey justify am. Someone who's job (not Monday or Olumide), is to ensure that an election is peaceful, is brewing violence, and una dey defend am? |

Itsrm:Tbf but there was no interference from him and IGP during bayelsa and kogi election,in fact they allowed bello display his madness and use the power of incumbency to his full advantage, same as diri of pdp... Not even a fan of obaseki and pdp but what are their crimes and why can't they look away, what is their stake in this edo election and what are they trying to prove ![]() |

BlueRayDick:Obaseki is using Wike's election template like Yeye Bello also did in Kogi, Wike introduced a very dangerous political process and i said it here that many sitting Governors with use the same template to their advantage. Sadly Edo people will not have the chance to vote their preferred candidate, cos the election would be a battle of who rigged the most.... |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by reccy(m): 9:04am On Sep 12, 2024 |
Amigoss:Why do you think their activities are banned within this election period? Methinks they can be used by the governor to destabilize and cause mayhem during this election. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by reccy(m): 9:07am On Sep 12, 2024 |
BlueRayDick:I don't understand you. You mean, he wants to rig election yet, don't want to be checked for it? I thought he is the Governor and has performed well. Leave it to the electorates to decide. He contested his second term with APC government at the center, yet won . Why now? I hope this excuse would be made if the opposition Governors follow suit!!! |

Amigoss:By body language, I meant the policies he has been implementing. All politicians care about is getting re-elected when in office but this one doesn't seem to care. That tells me someone has assured him not to worry about 2027. Remember how election results were already flying around before voting started in Kogi State. I expect more of the same in Edo. |

reccy:Legally, I don't think the IGP have such power. Because the security outfit was established by the parliament. Just like the SW house of assemblies established Amotekun. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 10:13am On Sep 12, 2024 |
reccy:You are asking the wrong questions. Obaseki is basically saying he is no interested in signing an agreement that will only be obeyed by one party and the other party won't obey. He doesn't want to abide by the terms of an agreement that has not prevented anybody from rigging in the past. He was wants to rig just like other parties intend to rig. The message is loud and clear; whether I agree with him or not is another thing entirely. |

Julius Abure, has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the National Security Adviser (NSA) to investigate the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, activist Aisha Yesufu, Pastor Itua Ighodalo, and leaders of the pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere, for the alleged misappropriation of campaign funds. - Sahara Reporters. Let's see how this roforofo fight ends. |

airmark:Lmao how much do you want to bet that Peter Obi is innocent? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by airmark(m): 11:16am On Sep 12, 2024 |
liveLongNprospa:I am unsure that's why I want to see how it pans out. Meanwhile, it seems you trust this Obi o. Don't trust any politician, especially the one that had used fronts to keep funds away from the prying eyes of his people. How much will you bet on Obi not taking at least 1 Naira for private use from the campaign funds, if OasisX serves as Escrow? ![]() |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 11:23am On Sep 12, 2024 |
liveLongNprospa:pick one peter obi is innocent and did not steal or peter obi, the disciplined spender with only one wristwatch , the man who bought fuel by himself as governor , the chairman of fidelity bank, is financially incompetent/illiterate and his whole team ran rings around him eating money right left and center this whole fiasco where the LP special purpose vehicle has fallen to pieces in less than a year is a true indicator or perter obis sterling leadership abilities. the man cannot hold what is a regional party together but we are told he is a messianic unicorn with a magic wand who will take nigeria to the same eldorado he took anambra to airmark:i suspect that APC oppo research geng has the mans full records and will slowly leak them in 2027, if he is still in the running by then. starting with the real reason that the uk authorities arrested him. it is those who have just been introduced to politics that believe in the halo of an establishment politician |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 11:33am On Sep 12, 2024 |
The one that can keep his party affairs in check, how well is he governing now? Na why i no dey take all these Northerners wey dey complain seriously. I'd rather laugh them to scorn than sympathise They would rather choose to die in poverty or under the bullets of bandits, than admit Tinubu has lost it. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 11:35am On Sep 12, 2024 |
GloriousGbola:Like, how is this news? I am even surprised you are salivating over this. Is this Nigeria's problem now? Make una bring videos of Obi doing blood money sef, I go still vote am |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 11:37am On Sep 12, 2024 |
liveLongNprospa:The same Abure that they insulted and supported Apapa, is the same Abure they are supporting now. Even the Abure has said Obi was not in charge of the funds. |

reccy:Was this done in the kogi election, were all security apparatus aside from police banned in the state, was the IGP directing orders from Abuja? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by reccy(m): 12:10pm On Sep 12, 2024 |
Amigoss:I don't know of any security apparatus in kogi state that has the prospect of being used to destabilize election. IGP is not taking anything for chances. He is taking all measures to make sure the election is peaceful and fair. What is it that you don't understand? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Nobody: 12:16pm On Sep 12, 2024 |
izzou:You are the one "thoughting",he didnt promise it and those he is fighting are pro Godfatherism He believes those he is up against don't want to play fair, are out for blood and he is throwing the kitchen sink in,he doesn't want to look weak....you want him with the power of incumbency act like Akpata while apc are moving in mercenaries to the state? As it is like this,do you think Akpata who is playing it gentlemanly now stand a chance against the apc guy? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 12:20pm On Sep 12, 2024 |
Amigoss:Maybe i am wrong, but you cannot be fighting for good governance today, and support impoverishment tomorrow. You all admit that Obaseki was a disaster. So why should Edo people give PDP a chance again? Afterall, we both agree that Tinubu shouldn't come back after a disastrous Buhari outing. I just feel for the state because the Monday sef, get as e be. But what i cannot understand is the putting up defences for Obaseki. |
