I think the governor deliberately wants to heat up the policy. It may be a strategy such that even if APC never had intentions of destabilizing the state, they would never think.of it since he's already accusing them falsely about it.

Obaseki is using Wike's election template like Yeye Bello also did in Kogi, Wike introduced a very dangerous political process and i said it here that many sitting Governors with use the same template to their advantage. By body language, I meant the policies he has been implementing. All politicians care about is getting re-elected when in office but this one doesn't seem to care. That tells me someone has assured him not to worry about 2027.

Obaseki is basically saying he is no interested in signing an agreement that will only be obeyed by one party and the other party won't obey.

He doesn't want to abide by the terms of an agreement that has not prevented anybody from rigging in the past. He was wants to rig just like other parties intend to rig.

IGP is not taking anything for chances. He is taking all measures to make sure the election is peaceful and fair.
