I have friends working on their PhD at KTH in Sweden as University employees, and as far as I know, they can apply for permanent residence after 4 years. As far as I know, it is a straightforward rule to apply for permanent residence and then citizenship after 4 - 5 years of legal stay in Sweden.

To receive the money, you MUST EXIT the EU and show evidence. The payment is not also a single lump sum. Each year you qualify for your pay after verification that you are outside the EU. Tourism visit to the EU is also prohibited.

I found out the scheme has been around since about the 80s/90s in Sweden actually. So it isn't new at all..

If you can read well, you will notice that I am writing from a second-person position. Meaning it how the Swedes sees muslim, not me.

Thanks for the clarification. Also, I would like to add that the EU directive for researchers is also a type of work permit since the University is the sponsor in this case. Therefore, I will say that the only dead end in this case are people on student permit that can't find a suitable work after graduation, not people with a work permit.

That is what they will do.

The best thing to do now so that one can be eligible for the funds, is to quickly japa to Sweden on a tourist visa and declare asylum or better still, when you're already in Sweden by 2024 - 2025, hide yourself well and step out in 2026 to be part of the funds sharing.

If the plan is not gonna work, before the end of your tourist visa expiration, go to one of their villages and marry a Swedish babe.
