Pls gentlemen and ladies, how do i remove this Muslim rubbish on my profile? I have never commented on an Islamic post let alone accepting the rubbish "I believe that there is no god/God but Allah and Muhammad is His Prophet", to be accepted before i comment. I wanted to check my profile only to see this.

That 200 cedi is his actual salary. Cost of self contain is 600 cedi. Monthly salary is around 600 cedi a month for a software engineering intern. 1500 a month for a junior developer. Dey play. Like we don't know what purchasing power parity is.

Ask the average Ghanian how much they are paid in cedi in a month and convert it to naira. You will see that they earn same as Nigerian actually. Cost of living is the same there. The amount of cash you get in exchange rate doesn't mean anything if your income doesn't allow you to make more of it.

Ghana redominated their currency not as if they're truly cruising. But the decision of Tinubu to devalue the naira was an idea From hell fire.

Even when 200GHC is about N20K, can 200GHC makes you a decent pot of soup in Ghana? I guess the answer is NO.

Even though our Naira depreciated beyond the low, it is still more valuable than the Ghana Cedis.
Are you serious

Please let's ditch the numbers and focus on the worth, let us do the comparison worth for worth.

What will 200 cedis buy for you in Ghana and what will it Naira equivalent buy for you in Nigeria.

Take the 200 cedis to Ghanaian market and take its equivalent to Nigerian market, let's do the comparison from there 😉

That 200 Cedis is equivalent of 2,000,000 old Cedis. I know Nigeria has plans of redenomination after we achieve stability.

Many of you are ignorant about the state of the economy Buhari passed down

Below is a video on Egypt. It spends 50% of government revenue on debt servicing and it's in such a mess. Look at what it's doing to it's currency, the Egyptian pound.

Egypt is even more fortunate. It can turn to the IMF to provide it massive loans for a soft landing. A loan will bring in an infusion of dollars, which will help the battered Egyptian pound. The Naira does not have such a cushion.

Meanwhile, in 2022, Nigeria spent over 100% of revenue on debt servicing.

Tinubu can not turn to the IMF for a bailout because Nigerians no go gree. These make any reforms more painful. If there were more dollars in circulation, the Naira won't be as bad as it is

The video is below:

Be objective bro.

At this moment, the cedis is worth more than the naira. Granted,200GHC can't make you a decent pot of soup but when converted to naira, which is 20k that money will make you a very tasty and well-garnished pot of soup in nigeria even in this harsh economy.

Am a South African but let me defend my jollof brothers. Ghana cedi and Zambian leach were rebased/redenominated. So the true valu of 1 cedi I think is a 1000 is not 10000. So is like their running on virtual currency

na you dey play ... Ghana has the largest man made dam in Africa ( akosombo dam , that is by way bigger than kanji dam) Nigeria doesn't supply Ghana electricity , tinubu cannot off what it can't give. Ghana also supply Benin , Burkina faso, Togo and Ivory Coast power . Used Google .

Ghana is a high energy generating Nation, with over 5000 megawatt in disposal and three thousand at used anytime. This is for a country less than 30, million.

However there is gas supply agreement between the two nation .

You will have issue with this..... 200 cedis can buy you a lot in rural part of Ghana while the equivalent can also do the same in similar location in Nigeria.

In both countries capital, it can do very less , so what do you want to compare . Put in mind, high valued currency's can contribute to high purchasing power.

An average millionaire in Ghana will be an instant oga in Nigeria.....

Why not compare how much is dollar worth in Ghana and that of Nigeria ? That is the major trading currency.

What is $4bn? It's a drop in the bucket. The CBN was owing $7bn to entities that had paid for them. That's one reason the UAE banned visas to Nigeria.

How will $4bn offset $7bn. You guys just type nonsense. This was aside other severe challenges the country and the economy faced.

Only a net $3bn existed in the foreign reserves. A country needs a minimum of 3 months -others say 4months- worth of dollars in the foreign reserves. That $3bn barely covered a m9nth.

What is $4bn? The country needs about $15bn.

Chaaaiiiii tifnubu and apc have finally reduced Nigeria to the lowest point. BIG SHAME!!!!!
Gistmedia10:
In a viral video making waves online, two Ghanaian men were seen beaming with joy after exchanging 200 Ghanaian Cedis (GHC) for a hefty amount of Nigerian Naira. The moment, which captured their excitement, has sparked a range of reactions from netizens who were quick to comment on the significance of the exchange rate between the two West African currencies.

One user pointed out, “Naira is a weak currency, but Cedis isn’t much better. They had to remove four zeros from their currency to peg it to the dollar. The 200 Cedis they changed is about 20k—what can 20k really do for you in Nigeria?”

Another commenter joked, "With 500 Cedis, we can buy 3 houses and a car in Nigeria!" shocked

The reactions highlight ongoing discussions about the relative value of currencies and the cost of living across different countries.
