Common sense doesn't tell you that, the landing cost of petro in Dangote refinery is higher than market prices and that's why only NNPC can buy it now.

Did you ask urself, why other Dangote products not solely bought by federal govt but only petrol.
Tell us the meaning of landing cost please

Dangote is selling at N766

ecolime:
How much is Dangote selling to NNPC?

This is still begging for answers.

All these their "crude for refined product" story is still abracadabra.

The singular fact that NNPC is the sole distributor of Dangote petrol means that the masses will have zero benefit from the magnificent refinery. NNPC could buy at N10 and decide to sell at N100. They can still cause artificial scarcity at will and hike the price as usual. It is a very worrisome situation that a national corporation has become a distributor for a private firm whereas it cannot maintain the refineries under its watch.

Having refinery of this magnitude in the country, everything about distribution of petroleum products should be completely deregulated. Let the forces demand and supply determine price and supply...
Thank Yoruba people for this

Re: 300 Trucks In Dangote Refinery To Lift Petrol On Sunday – NNPC by Gustavo356(m): 7:33am On Sep 15, 2024
Buy in Naira and Sell in Naira will be a significant change.
I only wish the price will drop back to N180/litre

This refinery has created jobs and will create more but Obis supporters will stay here on Nairaland to complain instead of taking advantage of the opportunities created by the diversification ongoing. They will still be fixated on food prices while Tinubu is creating mega opportunities. They are waiting for Tinubu to come and feed their families. Funny people.
Which of the opportunities have you taken advantage of?

Why should people not be fixated on price of food?

Which mega opportunities is tinubu creating?.

Is MuRIC and afenifere now an obi supporter?

If it's true.

Nigerians won't accept this. It's broad day light robbery.
Is this what it means to refine locally ?

so the government should not have any iota of control over a high security product like petrol? You must be joking. The price of Ordinary garri that is not regulated by the government has become so expensive no to talk of leaving petroleum products pricing solely in the hands of greedy marketer.
How does "having control" the same as monopoly? Don't you know the meaning of deregulation in Nigeria?

They cannot maintain the refineries properly but they're doing something less better, appreciate them.

Can you show me where dangote "insisted he will only deal with NNPC"?

Was nnpc being sole buyer dangotes idea or nnpc's idea?

Can you pls name the independent marketers you say "keeps smuggling petrol and diesel to other West Africa for gain??"

Why have they not been caught and arrested up till now?

How much product have they smuggled out?

How did they move these products?

Where was NSA, customs, police, civil defence and DSS when this smuggling was taking place?
Go and read what independent marketers did to him when he released AGO.

Have you not been seeing how Edwin is crying how they have selling abroad?? This marketers were smuggling his diesel to west Africa countries and he wasn't getting patronage from west Africa countries like he expected.

Go read all the statements released by dangote group...they made it clear they only dealing with NNPC .

Even oil marketers made it known he had no meetings with them or even intend to sell to them.

Google is there you can make your own research.

You think dangote is stupid for insisting he will only deal with NNPC.
What concerns Dangote with smuggling? Is he subsidizing his products? And how has NNPC being the only importer stopped smuggling?

Appreciate them for becoming a monopoly? Marketers should be allowed to buy directly from Dangote and also to import if they want. That is what is called free market economy
