It'll be good if it's sold at around 800 naira.
im not sure u know what 800 means.its stl very high. Can a public servant buy it at that price with the current minimum wage?if it’s sold for more than 600 then the Dangote thg hasn’t helped much.

Crude was gotten here, why is the price that high?
Shamless NNPC, their presence in this distribution line is just to maintain a high PMS price, so that their loyal marketers who import from their Daddy's refinery will still make gain and pay royalties

Do you know how much NNPCL was buying from overseas refinery before subsidy?
They buy close to N1k naira, logistics cost and every other thing moves the product to 1300.
I live abroad and I know the price of refined products with taxes

NNPC is just giving you figures you need to believe the subsidy payments they’re making. The subsidy paid in the last one year eclipsed what some entire administrations have paid in 4 years

This time around the crude was pumped to Dangote and refined locally. In refining you add cost of labour, transport ships and trucking to last mile. Labour abroad is a minimum of 2.6m naira per month in these refineries. Dangote is paying some less than 100k per month. Crude was sold in Naira. No shippping costs. Etc etc

You’re beginning to buy the lie. Do you wonder why there was scarcity and inflated prices before Dangote came onstream?

It’s called orchestration

Nigeria sells a barrel of crude for $72 which is equivalent to N729 per litre, so how much do you think we buy the refined products?

NNPCL was still subsidizing the fuel that is why you felt Dangote own was expensive.

Most recently, you were buying petrol at #600 then they made it scarce and sold it for #1200. Now they intend to sell over #800 and make it available, that's the tactics!

So this is the cheap fuel we have been expecting for the past 8 years
...if they were other private modular refineries also producing fuel it will create competition and reduce the price of fuel..so it's competition that can reduce the price of fuel...but with only Dangote refinery producing it creating monopoly it might not go down

because crude is $72 per barrel which is N729 per litre of crude. If Dangote buys crude at 729 per litre, it's viable to sell at 766 per litre.
He made about N37 gain per litre.

Now that there is a local refinery why not the FG kuku pay the subsidy in Naira since Nigerians aren't gaining anything directly from the FG except the subsidy.
And put heavy tax on any form of export so that any fuel going outside Nigeria will be around 700-750 NGN
What PBAT needs to do urgently if he doesn't want the country to explode in 6 months.
1 peg the pump price at 100 NGN at all cost
2 peg the Naira at 350 NGN/USD
3 ban any form of fuel importation
If country like Libya with there instability can still have PMS at 50 NGN (0.03 USD) at the time of writing this what stops Nigeria to have PMS at 100 NGN with Dangote refinery onboard. Dangote + PBAT gov are all out to exploit Nigeria
Re: Nigerians May Buy Dangote Petrol For N857, N865 Per Litre by ufotunang: 5:43pm On Sep 15, 2024
It's competition in the refinery sector that can bring down the price of fuel if they are other private modular refineries also producing this fuel it will create competition and reduce and bring down the price of fuel..this is the only way
