These people talk recklessly without regard for decency. That was how someone accused NSA of planning to rig elections and when NSA decided to go to court, he started denying. Anyone who peddles accusations should prove their accusations in court or face the music.

What I have observed in the Edo elections is that the election seems to be between Godwin Obaseki and Adams Oshiomole. There is no love lost between them.

Mrs Betsy Obaseki accused Senator Monday Okpebholo of being wifeless, only for Adams Oshiomole to respond by accusing the Obasekis of being childless and having no love for children.

If they have no children, how does it affect Adams Oshiomole?

In addition, what exactly was Adams Oshiomole's business in an attack that was not directed at him? Did Monday Okpebholo tell anyone he was mute? Adams Oshiomole needs to start conducting himself like a responsible and educated elder and leave gutter behaviour to "gutterians". In addition, Asue Ighodalo has few days to prove that he is running this race and not being propelled by Obaseki who in the last weeks, has caused more damage to Asue's campaign with unguarded statements like saying election was do or die and threatening Nigeria would burb. To see as if Obaseki is controlling someone whose name we knew before Obaseki came to the scene is a dent on the credentials of Asue Ighodalo.

Asue, be your own man and ask Obaseki to step back.

As I said, it seems as if Adams Oshiomole and Godwin Obaseki are fighting for the soul of Edo State. They have spoken more in the last weeks than their two candidates. They have spread more poison than nobility with their utterances. So far, only Olumide Akpata does not seem to be tied to the apron strings of a political verbal warlord. There has also been no controversy from their end. I wish they had the financial wherewithal to campaign in all nooks and crannies of Edo State.

It is because APC and PDP see themselves as the behemoths that they start trading insults and personal attacks.

What exactly are their talking points for the development of Edo State? No one knows! Their attacks have gained more traction than their plans. Do they even have sensible plans? Edo State has a vast forest of arable land. Just cultivate the land and feed your people. How hard is that? They have a fertilizer plant as I heard, why is it not producing? Lucky Igbinedion started Edo City Transport Service which his successor killed. Today, transportation is a problem. Water supply is still a big problem, but no solutions in sight. Politics and religion are now the biggest businesses while industries died.

This should make every Edo indigene sad!

Anyway, Edo State has shown us that they can't be controlled or bullied by human beings when it comes to deciding who to follow. They slapped Adams Oshiomole a bitter lesson in 2020 when he campaigned against someone he promoted in 2016 and promoted someone in 2020 he had campaigned against in 2016. They'd vote for the best person they feel can move their state forward. If Oshiomole was so good in leadership recruitment, how come the best person he put forward in 2016 was a warrior?

We wish them well.

Betsy Obaseki never said Monday Okpebholo doesn't have a wife, rather she said that the only candidate with a wife is Asue, note the difference.
There are over 16 candidates for the election, she only mentioned PDP's candidate name, she never mentioned APC's candidate as wifeless.

But Oshiobaba launched an attack on her personality, family and on her entire life! And like you said, the APC candidate is dumb and can't speak for himself, Oshio must do all the talking because his political career depends on it. With the way the senator is going, it is clear that he is so desperate for a third term, and he wants a vendetta against Obaseki who also is fighting to ensure that his former boss never gets the chance. At the end of the day, none of them really cares about the people, it is about who can be in control of the seat of power. This is what the average Nigerian politician cares about. Power.

Power! These outgoing governors want to copy and duplicate the Jagaban model, when they leave office, they put a stooge in place, while still holding onto the control of the state resources, they pull the strings to control the puppets. You can see the governor of FCT and Oshiobaba desperately wants to make sure the Jagaban model work in their states, this is the only model these vultures are interested in leaving as their legacies.
To ensure this happens, they take hold and control the judiciary, electoral body and armed forces.

Only the people can save themselves.

And so? Monday has been doing it even before he became a politician. A homegrown who started from grassroots, followed his fellow youths to sweep streets and clear farm roads.

Monday is just someone who is concerned about his people right from immemorial and he’s still doing a lot compared to someone who has been absent from his own state all his life.
Edo is a historical land filled with Norms and traditions, if Asue could have just learned how to speak a single language out of our numerous languages in Edo, it would have been easy. I am from Ewohimi, Esan south east, exactly the same place from Asue. Even as small as Ewohimi is, I don’t know him or anything he has done to gain recognition. My people are only accepting him because he is our first governorship candidate. Should this be a thing of conscience or truth?

Foolish talk by sad people. Oshiomole brought the Chinese men, operating in Utesi community close to Benin. They manufactured tiles and ceramic. To tell you how huge the investment was then, they paid the community whos land was not sold for up to 200k before their arrival 300m. He also brought dangote to okpella were he built a cement factory. What surprises me, is that most of your don't even know Edo state but because of the usual emotional politics you people played, make you guys to reason like a goat. Oshiomole remains the best governor since 1999 in Edo state. His popularity added mostly to Okpeboho quest to be governor. No politician in Edo state for now, command huge fellowership than him. He left office since almost eight years ago and anywhere he goes during the campaign period, he was able to point to at least what he has done. In 2027 Obaseki will not be able to move freely talk much of telling we Edolite his performances by campaigning for his choice, without booing or stoning.

Oshiomole brought the popular comrade bus to replace ECTS and it was effective and effecicent and many people identified with it before Obaseki killed it. All major town in Edo state has a bus station. Students of both primary and secondary were made to enter for free by Oshiomole.

I love this. I dont support any candidate or party but believe electioneering should be conducted with integrity. Oshiomole utterances are sometimes shocking.
He recently accused a woman of barreness. Imagine! Denigrating a woman for not having a child of her own? This man is but a devil. I lost my respect for him.
As per the candidates proper, I hope the best for the Edo people win.
