First and foremost, it is quite difficult to have a conversation with the average Nigerian without the person becoming emotional and going personal.


The first encounter Africans had with Europeans was based on trade, it was trade that metamorphosed into slavery, the first encounter the Indians had with Europeans was trade, same as that of the Japanese, Chinese etc.
I have never read in history books where colonization and slavery started because of religion.

Let me put it to you in clear terms now.
I have never seen a pastor telling his members to bring humans to church for sacrifice, bring humans and slaughter them, I have NEVER seen, if u have seen to justify ur claim, bring it here.
I have seen people instructed by representatives of deities to bring human sacrifice, we have seen several cases in Nigerian society, is it pastors that instruct yahoo boys to kill their girlfriends, remove their body parts and bring it?
I guess a religion that tells u to bring human heads is better than the ones that tells u to bring ur money.
Go to Yoruba villages today, even the natives are careful as at what time they go out or come in, few weeks ago i was in Oyo for a project in one of the companies there, in my lodge, I was going out around 10pm, they came and cautioned me that going out at such an hour is not advisable for a stranger, I asked why, they told me emphatically that they may be looking for foreigners for sacrifice or some people has made sacrifices with their problems and dropped it by roadside and anyone who first meets the sacrifice will be their Victim, they even instructed me not to go out in the early hours, that's how great our African religion is.
