So guys , I took part in this XM demo weekly competition, I took 8th position out of over 30 thousand traders .....

The prize for my position is 300 dollars, though I have not received the money because the competition ended this afternoon, but I am so happy right now ..... Support and Resistance!
I will write in such a way that even a lame man will understand.

what is support and resistance?

According to the dictionary

Support- a thing that bears the weight of something or keeps it upright.

Resistance - the act or power of resisting, opposing, or withstanding.

now we are going to equate it into trading now.
I just want you to get a clear picture of where I am heading to.

Support and Resistance in trading!


Support- A place where a trade can easily turn around and change direction.
support is always used when a trade has been declining.

Resistance- A place where a trade can easily run into trouble.


Note: support and resistance always form in a trading range.

Trade and think like a champion

we are going to be taking real life examples.

First of all, if you take a closer look at those pictures, you will see that there is a way I uploaded them.

In the first pics, we used just a line to indicate the support!

I used just a line in the first place as most traders would do.
But for new and aspiring traders, drawing just a line is quite fine, but that would not give you the real detail of what you're doing...

want to know why?
The reason is that if you draw just a line, as most textbooks and people online draw, you will think that support is just a line and that price has to touch that line before you start to look for your buy set ups, which price might not get to the line, would inch some meters close to the line and then reverse.

NOTE: Support and Resistance is a zone or area and not a line

we are using Solana as an illustration for this example here..


when we talk about support being a zone.
we can see that support held between 108 - 142 region.

I zoomed in closely, so that you can see the support region clearly.

you might ask yourself, why did he have to zoom in closely again before he started talking about the area or zone.

The area and zone in support is a place where major trading takes place.

note: the support and resistance being illustrated above is a rectangular trading range, and is a very important reversal pattern.

Now. If you look at the 4th picture in this note.
We added the currency pair CHF JPY.

I want to show you how support and resistance can also be used in a non rectangular trading range.
